Where are the tracks getting their insurance?

What you will find is that most tracks do not hold any insurance.  I know that when SSQSA holds a race we get the insurance and the track pays us back.

K&K wants $5000. to write a Spectator and Participant policy....that is nuts. Can you get a phone number for North American?

The insurance does not cover the rider.  It covers the spectators, like if the quad comes off the track and hits someone. There are other things that it covers also but the rider on the track is NOT covered under the insurance.

Legally, a liability waiver doesn't mean much of anything and will not hold up in court.  They do serve a purpose stating that the individual understands there are dangers and risks blah blah but if you get sued by someone that was hurt and show up in court with just that to defend yourself prepare to lose your ass. Its a feel good only thing pretty much.

Dirt Devil in particular has a policy for their kart racing. That company threatened the Dirt Devil owners with cancellation if a quad race was held there without coverage for quads.
