Title: Warning Sheriff Task Force on ATVs
Post by: Thrumud on January 15, 2007, 03:58:49 PM
Since the death of Kyle Flint, the boy that died on Oct 15th 2005 in Lehigh, the area N.E. of Alabama & 82 has been posted no trespass. Still riders continue to ride.

My coworker went out there with his 4 yr old son not knowing it was illegal, he said Lee county sheriff were on ATVs chasing riders.

Guys, please stay away from this area.  """ YOU WILL BE ARRESTED AND YOUR QUAD, BIKE AND HAULER WILL BE TOWED """   It's not worth it !

My father saw 4 LCSO quads being loaded up on a trailer, by deputies, this weekend just off Homestead Rd.  They were full dress with the LCSO stickers and paint jobs, lights and all.

I remember seeing Hernando Countys Sheriffs Department hauling two Grizzlies that had been modded for more speed.  I got to sit on one and it was fun messing with the lights and sirens.  Where would you even get the lights for ATVs, would be cool to chase people at Croom or ONF ;)

Yeah it would, and so would the time you spend with Cookie in the cell for the few years you will be doing for impersonating a police officer, good times there.

LOL.  True.  My dad wants flashers when he gets a quad.  They turn your headlights + tailights into strobe lights basically.  Only for when we have hurricanes he can help pull trees off the roads because where we live the county doesnt put us on the priority list.  And the flashers would just aid in safety for other people out on the roads.  Thats a plus for the sport, helping during hurricanes.

They need the Rincons to haul gear, 4x4, etc... If they had sports they wouldnt be able to haul gear unless its on a backback or they had racks mad for them.  I know the border patrol has sports because they need to be fast, I remember seeing a Warrior and 400EX.
