IT would be nice if the owner takes some of that 30 Dollars a head and puts it into the EVENT.

Need Traffic Control and more roads opened ( I suggest opening the west side of the Mudhole to Camping and lessen the traffic)

Need More Water pumped into PIT Sooner and more access to water to wash ( the shower stalls and 1 hose at the Mud hole is not cutting it)

Shows US you want us back....I have Gone to the last 3 With at least 25 People...and the ones prior to shutting down

yeah, you guys are making bank on mudfest, keeps getting more expensive like every year. What do you do with all that money? I think its fine the way it is, just charge less. I know many people that have stopped going or are not going as often because its too expensive.

and get some water hoses everywhere, that would be awsome

Does anyone know if the price is the same for children?  Any lower for any certain ages?

Holopaw, 5A, and occasionally 80 Acres in Vero.

Title: Re: Okeechobee Mudfest Feb. '07
Post by: GrlNextDoor on January 15, 2007, 06:43:49 PM
Where is 80 acres in Vero?  Open to anyone?

Title: Re: Okeechobee Mudfest Feb. '07
Post by: xr100racer on January 16, 2007, 08:51:07 AM
never been to 5A, going to holopaw soon, and I go to 80 acres all the time

got to keep 80 acres on the down low, illegal. its small to and not much to do there especially on a sport quad, really just one big mud hole/lake that people get stuck in. nice little track in the back though

Title: Re: Okeechobee Mudfest Feb. '07
Post by: 94Hardbody4x4 on January 16, 2007, 09:00:24 AM
I think everyone in Vero already knows of 80 acres, alot more people go out there than we know of. However, this other place we go to with Cory(DP) needs to be kept on the dl. Alot of people know of it but we dont want it to end up like Backlakes.

Oh, btw John, Harry's Unle that is building that Swamp Buggy at his ranch, he can build a swamp buggy for $4000 if someone supplies a running truck. He charges $4000 to build from the frame up. Just thought I'd mention it cuz it's alot cheaper than I thought they'd charge.

Title: Re: Okeechobee Mudfest Feb. '07
Post by: xr100racer on January 16, 2007, 04:16:04 PM
Swamp buggies are gay though, Id rather have an ethan truck.

Oh but yeah, the secret spot is great. No mud but fun to mess around on a sport bike, Ive herd people talk about the secret spot going out there and stuff. Not like we discovered it when we used to go out there with the trucks, those trails didnt make themselves or the circle track. Mac and Mark used to go riding out there 5-6 years ago when they had blasters. Its not secret but not alot of people know about it.

Keg Lake used to be an ok spot to ride if you were bored enough.

Title: Re: Okeechobee Mudfest Feb. '07
Post by: xr100racer on January 16, 2007, 04:37:20 PM
Yeah, theres not really much to Keg Lake, that one spot with all the sand right behind the outlet mall is allright. Lately I herd theres been a problem with cops out there. Too far of a drive for not much fun

Post by: 94Hardbody4x4 on January 16, 2007, 06:54:44 PM
This girl in my class tells me how they go out there every weekend. They go all the way to 98th to get around the fence. What a waste of gas. I hate that place yet everyone always want to go there. I heard theres a 7ft baby eating mongoose out there anyways.

well what you herd was a lie

Its a mutant walking catfish fused with a albino zebra that had an unfortunate shmelting accident with a blue panda and its only 6-11"

also, it doesnt eat white meat, only the brandon makenzies

Hey, I'm not sur eif this is the quickest route but you can take I-95 SOUTH all the way down to Ft. Peirce. You need to get off at the "OKEECHOBEE ROAD" EXIT. It's right past the "ORANGE AVENUE" EXIT so just keep an eye out for those. Once you get on OKEECHOBEE ROAD, start heading west(you'll take a right at the end of the offramp ;D). Then you've got about a 40-50 minute drive down HWY 70 until you hit the gates for Mudfest.

Dont worry about missing Mudfest, HWY 70 will literally take you right to it. When you start seeing the mud on the road then you know your close. Also, ther eis a BP gas station about 1/8 mile away from the gates so you can always stop there to restock refreshments.

And no, there are no helmet rules and kids can ride. Last year I saw a baby-seat on the back of an atv so be careful out there and make sure you kids stick close because theres alot smart people but theres also alot of dumb people out there too.

I would NOT go up 27 if I were you.  95 straight up to Ft. Pierce(hwy 70) west seems like it would be easier.

Another option to check out would be I95 to Beeline(Blue Heron) N to Okeechobee & pick up Hwy 70 there.

Hope it helps....

its 7 miles east of 441 on Rt 70... Okeechobee is dead center on the intersection of 441 and 70 on Mapquest... do search to there

The Beeline is definetly the best way.  Pick it up at Blue Heron (from I95) or if you come up the turnpike their is a sun pass only exit at Northlake Blvd. if no sun pass exit at PGA Blvd. west to Beeline.

We are going Friday.

We will probably be taking my wifes truck (tranny just went out on mine) - Red 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 with a big trailer on the back with a couple of Kawasaki Utes

Im not sure where we will be parking yet though. Do you have a # you can PM me so we can meet up once were there?
