We, the members of this site, are noticing a pattern in all the OHV meetings that are being held and that is that they are all on the weekdays thus preventing us from showing our full support! We all want to show our support and a few members on this site have had the ability to do so even during the week when most of us have to work. We may have a solution! If we can get enough show of support here in this thread and on this website then we are going to organize a Saturday meeting. This will require at least 500 people to show up. CAN WE DO IT?? Below is the proposed agenda,” not in stone and a work in progress”!


On  SATURDAY MAY 19th by the SHOW of SUPPORT and with 5 months notice we will all meet at http://www.quicktrackmx.com/  and We will all bring our riding rigs for display and set up for a day of riding the track and trails . For example prepare to make a day of it! Bring the grill and
appropriate beverages and hang out. Bring the easy ups for shade and the fold out chairs to meet
and greet members of the site. In simple terms… . A BIG COOK OUT WITH FRIENDS! Roll
out your quads and bikes as a show of your investment so the PRESS that will be informed of our location can stroll through and be in AWE of how serious we take our sport and how much we spend doing it! We are trying to get our local shops involved by making a donation as in a part or gift certificate that can be raffled off to cover any expenses that may be involved in this adventure. I would even like to see enough support shown that the shops would want to set up a display with items for sale. This would show that we have BUISNESS support also.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: THIS  DREAM IS SHAPING UP AS OF RIGHT NOW! Do not be fooled though, we can and will pull this off if this thread LIGHTS UP WITH SUPPORT! We will put out flyers at our local shops, run ads in our local papers, tell all our friends and post it on all our favorite websites.
Volunteer’s welcome! Ideas welcome! Support welcome, HELP NEEDED!
 

This is not a RACE thing or a MUD thing or a QUAD thing! This is for anyone who likes to ride a OHV.

sorry i had to change the date again but i have a good reason! our KEY SPEAKER would not have been able to make that weekend due to personal reasons! but on his behalf i feel that Thrumud has earned this move for all his hard work he has already done for our sport ;)

 we will be there. should be a good group of people to meet and have a great weekend.

i read it and it is a good idea except for the insurance part! would cost us way to much money. maybe next year  we will be more prepared ;) baby steps ;D

Have you guys made up any flyer designs yet to hand out to local shops? I know the shops down the road from me would be all over this.

Thanks for changing the date dreth.  :bow.gif  I know you didn't do it on my behalf, but May 12 was the only booked day so far on our 2007 calendar, and I was trying to figure out how you got it  ;D  You ever play the lottery?  ;)

I know there are some florida members on atvoutdoors.net so I posted this there too! I just copied and pasted Dreth's original post in this thread. People are taking the post I did and posting it on other forums they visit as well.  ;)
 
What is the status on flyers and how do I go about getting some to hand out?

Members, please contact your local dealers and let them know about this event. 

I will make somekind of lil memo or type flyer but must be sure the date is not gonna change again then we can let everyone know about it in advance then as we get closer to the date we will make up more detailed flyers to pass around

we should have flyers made up and ready for distribution by mid january. i want everything set in stone before we pass them out. ;)

Alrighty Good buddy I got the 19th off of work, I just put in for vacation day and it was the last slot. So all I need to do now is spread the word. ;)

Be sure to post the flyers.  I'll hand them out here at work. 

  I will most likely be able to make it, and I'll try to bring all my riding buddies.Can't give a number until the day get's closer.

Sun Sports Cycle in Ft Myers is very interested in this event.  Just want to tell all that Ian, the owner of Sun Sports was the only dealer owner that showed up at our last OHV meeting. He gave me his word that he will do his part to get more legal riding areas.  Thanks Ian !

is there any way you could put up a printable version of the flyer then i could print it out and get some copies made to pass out when I go to croom.man it was packed sat.12/30 I wish I would have had about 500 flyers I could have handed out and/or put on windshields

How much will it cost per person (with quad)??

it will depend if you ride or not. the track will charge you $25 to ride for the day and the gate fee will be no more than $10.

Also make a black and white version so I can print some out on the laser. It will convert it, but does better if already in B&W.

Should i just make a "sponsors" area on the flier? Also ill do both black and whites and colored versions, the only problem is i do not know how to upload it without distorting it. The changes will be later tonight as i need my mom's computer.

Now before anyone goes and prints these images, they will not print right if you A) right click and click "Print Picture" or B) Save the picture as then print it. A line on the left side of the page appears because of the way ATVFL is. I need to EMAIL you the picture then you can print it once you save it from the email.

I think we should invite Governor Crist.  Seriously.  At worst, he'll send a flunkie.  Everyone invite their local politicians (commissioners, mayors, state representatives etc.).  With the press present, the pols' love any photo ops.  This thing can become bigger than anyone could imagine.  Maybe get 60 Minutes in on it.

Hey Paul, thanks. I am going to redo the logos you made and try and get a blown up size logo from Mr. Bones so it is not so pixleated. After the final copies are made ill post em up.

Ok,  I know everyone is waiting for the final flyer and I got to let Dreth off the hook.  I was supost to hear from the last bit of information for that weekend today.  I hope to be able to update tomorrow.  But I think it will be worth it if everything falls into place.

Definitely large enough, they have a NASCAR track there, an 1/8th mile dragstrip, a mudbog & a motocross track.

On the flyer it said "motor cross track", correct spelling would be motocross track. I just want everything to look good & not have people saying, "see those ohv riders cant even spell" ;)

It looks good! Just a few ideas. You might want to include the exact location of the event in case people don't know where it is or just add their web address. Or, a web address for the event, such as atvflorida.com/ohvrally for example. That can have all the info with a link to the thread in the forum. Add the day it is happening next to the date so people won't have to look it up in a calendar (like me).

Suggestion for the flyers, if someone prints off a stack and dropps off any at a dealer, post it in here so others in your area dont try to deliver a butt load to a location that already has a bunch..........
