Title: Mudfest 07'
Post by: 94Hardbody4x4 on December 11, 2006, 06:27:22 PM
Feb 9, 10, 11.

Heres the fliers from 2 years ago...
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/6087/okeechobee21ex.jpg (http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/6087/okeechobee21ex.jpg)
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9766/okeechobee4qu.jpg (http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9766/okeechobee4qu.jpg)

Everything still applies. No 3-wheelers! Dirtbikes are allowed. Alcohol is permitted. Anything is allowed from army tanks to Escalades. Camping is free and there's plenty of room. It's $15 a day or $30 for the whole weekend. Thats each person as well.

Should be nice wether this year, I hope it's not to cold though.

You sure are planning in advance. Oh yeah, should be nice weather. Did you look into your crystal ball and predict the future's weather 2 months from now? Last year was freezing though, but the overheating of the bayou kept me warm.

Will the nissan be going? Oh wait you blew the motor. Maybe you can ride up with ethan on 44's. That would be sweet if he gets it done.

Went last time (damn hot) with a group of 7.  Plan on going again in Feb.  probably a larger group this time.  Might camp out if I can talk my daughter (Sweetrider) into it.

Yes there is a contact number but it has yet to be released. Once it gets closer they'll throw out more info on it. I'll see if I can find the old threa from http://www.Florida4x4.com (http://www.Florida4x4.com). It had the number and direction.

Who went last year? I know alot of you guys can give out info.

Here is the scoop-

-It is a HUGE field off of route 70
-Friday is ATV Only Day- Sat and Sunday Everything under the SUN
-It gets VERY crowded come Saturday Morning VERY
-Last March Events are crazy HOT, Feb is Crazy COLD
-LOTS AND LOTS of traffic throughout the whole pasture
-Plop Johns Provided , as well as consessions ( reasonable prices)
-Kids and Adults acting like fools ALL the time (There is Security but not nearly enough)
-No Night Riding
-HUGE Bonfire Saturday Nights

Great if you like to people watch or have a few adult beverages responsibly. I plan to go Friday only for the DAY...then off to Private Private property.

Good idea!  I think I'll go Fri. this year to ride ATVs.  Camp out and ride in a friends swamp buggy Sat.  In August I started getting a little nervous by mid afternoon Sat. riding my ATV.  Too many inebriated people riding around willy-nilly.

Yeah, it was very hot in August and it did start to get pretty busy by mid-afternoon. It was still fun nontheless. Can't argue that part.

What event in march are you talking about? Semi-annual is February and August.

March--- Are you talking about David Alan Coe?

This event mentioned for this post does not sound real kid friendly. Sounds like a mad house. Hummmm....

Dont let people fool you. It's probably safer than L-cross. I mean, the same things go on at both events. Once your in the gate it's hard to watch what all 10,000 people do. There are plenty of spots to sit and watch and the west side of the mudhole is a bit more open and spectator frendly.

This event kicks the pants off L-Cross. Ask anyone thats been to both.

LOL kicks the pants off L-cross? When does Muddfest do the trail ride? , what time is the Live Band at Mudfest? Lets do a night ride at Mudfest....dude get real....the only thing this event has on L-cross is the Novelty of 2 times a year, THAT and some kick A$$ mud trucks come from all over for this event. I mean real deal Mud Trucks.

Oh and DO NOT GET ME WRONG , this is a kick butt place to have a real good time , if you have never gone you NEED to go...I just think you need to know what to expect.  If you are expecting to have a picnic in the field and watch your kids ride out in the open, I can not see that happening.

Thanks John Sales and crew you are appreciated.

Yeah, thats true. i've just heard some bad thing about l-cross from a few people but I guess the same can go for this event.

But anyways, who cares which one is better, your going to have fun either way.

i've just heard some bad thing about l-cross from a few people

We have been to L-Cross a couple times dumbace. Do you not remember? L-Cross killed my Jeep.  :'(  Theyre both real good, I dont know if this one Kicks its pant off but I prefer this one becuase I think its more open, at l-cross its hard to find a spot where there isnt any traffic where you can open it up if you want.

I bet you acctually could have a picnic if you wanted, Some people park right where you pull in the gate before you go around where the bondfire is. We set up camp in that area once and you could defiantly have a picnic, complete with the little wooden basket and the red & white checkered blanket

Well, honkey donkey, I do remember L-cross. I just heard things about people stealing stuff but that'll happen anytime you put 10,000 rednecks together.

You know your a redneck john, admit it.  You stupid hilbilly.

I live on the beach, I play tennis, I dont own any "dixie outfitter's" shirts, I dont wear wranglers, I dont have the dumb made up stephen bates accent, etc, etc.  If you think I am a redneck simply because I have the baddest truck and atv in town then you would be mistaken

I know your just kidding, Im trying to show how Not redneck I am. I hate snobs, I have no reason to be one, Im defiantly not rich just cause I live on the beach side, the beach side is regarded in vero as being anti redneck and people who live on the beach and try to be a redneck get made fun of. I dont dislike rednecks, some of my friends are but there are a lot of dumbass's in town that parade around about their redneckness. Vero is weird like that

But seriously, I do have the baddest truck and atv in town

Josh and jeremy stopped? I thought they were going to skool? That sucks, I hope his impressive deail buisness that hasn't started does him well.

Mabey I'll just invent something and make trillions? Matt and I were talking about opening a Mudfest R' Us store in town. It will be a 6x6 building we will make our selves and will sell anything because anything is allowed at mudfest. We'll take orders for stuff and then buy it off e-bay and sell it for 10 times the price. It's the perfect plan.

Yes John, you can even buy a Zebra from us. Supercharged and complete with headlights, taillights, leather handle grips, and turbo turn signals.

Title: Re: Mudfest 07'

what cause that stuck was the fact that your back wheel was off the ground, even if you have a limited slip, posi, or anything thats NOT a FULL LOCKER. With anything less then a locker, when one wheel is off the ground, your screwed. That left the job of moving the truck left to the front axle that is also open diff, and you just burried it in the sand.

just like the jeeper did at the dunes.

Thank you Captain Obvious.

If you had waited until nightfall when the earth was at a different alignment with the sun and moon, you would've had 1.23 times more gravity pulling on your back left tire. With the approxomite weight of me and Ethan, we could've overcome the offset position of your truck and pushed the tire onto the ground. Thus, making you UN-stuck.

"Its hard to understand for you people." You People? what are we some sort of outcast because we live by our heritage? Man i guarantee if you were in front of my you'd say it a little differently..

I dont go around parading that Im a redneck like some people I know. Im not, its just not me. Its hard to understand for you. People mistake me for one since I have the fastest (4 stroke) quad in town and the baddest truck at school. Austin is pure country though, giddy up! GIT-R-DUN

When did I say "you people" ?    Its hard to understand since you dont live in vero is what I meant, you dont know us, this conversation doesnt not involve you

I have nothing against rednecks, some of my friends are but there are some dumbasses in town that you dont understand about, probably the reason you are taking offense

but do not mistake this as some type of nice clarification

You sound like a fag, and I CAN GUARANTEE if you were in front of me and had a problem with anything about anything I would stab you in the neck
