Post by: Mars on December 11, 2006, 06:57:19 PM I don't know about that one but at only 40 amp @ 220V 1/4 inch thick metal will be max on the good day.
Title: Re: Plasma Cutter? Post by: foreman1 on December 11, 2006, 07:18:59 PM Common plasma cutters range from 25- 80 amps and $800- $3500 for a 80 amp Lincoln.
Don't know about that one , didn't notice a brand on it . Some of those relatively inexpensive units are made in China and the quality is questionable on some. The price is an attention getter but I would rather stick with a well know make like a Hobart,Lincoln, Miller or a Century , can't go wrong with these. Title: Re: Plasma Cutter? Post by: HondaATC on December 11, 2006, 07:39:16 PM I have a 40amp Thermadyne plasma cutter (made by Thermal Arc) that will cut 1/2inch steel if you work at it. Won't cut much over 1/4 inch on aluminum without getting nasty though.
