Title: suspension weight
Post by: klutchbuster400 on November 22, 2006, 02:29:39 PM
Hey, a week ago was my first ride at the track with my elka suspended z400. I know the weight was a bit under my weight, but it was also revalved not too long before i bought it. bu anyways, I would bottom out going up the face of the jump. I would i fix this? I thought i needed a whole new revalve, but a friend told me i just need to replace the springs, any others think the same?

If you set your rider sag properly, (2 ¾~3in), on a standard length Z400 suspension; your spring preload nut should be near the center of it’s adjustment range. If it is at one extreme or the other, you need a different spring.
