Title: PS3 on Ebay
Post by: stacktester on November 17, 2006, 09:48:37 PM
Can you believe the craze on Ebay for the PS3 games. I looked and saw them anywhere from $900 to $3k. What idiots would pay that price for a game. I guess that was a dumb ? lol.

I guess what I should have said was it's dumb to pay more than 6 times the msrp. You could buy a nice used quad for what these guys are paying.

some of my buddys were waiting in line for a couple days outside of circuit city for it to come out. they spent the night and stuff. the plan was to buy it for $600 at the store then sell it on ebay for a couple thousand

unfortunately thousands more people had the same idea and now ebay is flooded with 60gb ps3's at 3k-5k and noone is buying them, the ones selling are under 1k for the same product. i thought about doing the same thing then decided its not worth my time.

i told my friends it wasnt going to work because everyone else was doing the same thing. they should have listed like a week before they would be able to buy it and had it already sold like a day before they bought it then shipped it out to the buyer. they were first in line and some lady offered them $900 bucks for their spot but they didnt take it. another friend sold his spot for $100

Yeah its crazy. I heard that to sell one on ebay you had to have sold a certian amount of items and had 98% good feedback. Its going to be like a year for the ps3 games to match the xbox360 games so im just going to wait untill 1. the price goes down. 2. You get a chance to buy them. and 3. they get all of the early bugs out of them that im sure there going to have. Just did some research and there are currently 24,638 items for sale for playstation3. From the looks of the first  coupple of pages there around 1000 to 1500 dollars...
