One piece rims and tires, fiberglass fenders. Neat bikes. Had one in the barn up until 3 or 4 years ago.

Suzuki was the first to build and mass produce a quad, I think it was the LT185 in 1984?

Title: Re: Who invented "ATV"s Post by: yfz450runner on November 16, 2006, 12:40:21 PM Read an article a little while ago. honda started with the 3 wheeler. but it was suzuki, first on 4 wheels. they were the first to mass produce the 4 wheeler. but back in the 80's you could buy the 3 wheel to 4 wheel kit to convert your atc to a quad.it was very expensive though. i ended up just staying on 2 wheels till i got older, much cheaper that way!!!!

I have an early 70's atc90 in my back yard somewhere. That thing cut more trails and killed more mud than my 4x4 Vinson ever will! You sure could get them unstuck by yourself. :) |
