Title: atv accident in loxahatchee Post by: SomBch on November 07, 2006, 04:39:20 PM ATV accident injures two children in Loxahatchee
By Rochelle E.B. Gilken Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Tuesday, November 07, 2006 LOXAHATCHEE — Two children were seriously injured when their father drove an all-terrain vehicle into a tree on 23rd Court North in Loxahatchee at about 3 p.m. today. The children, both younger than 10, were flown to St. Mary's Medical Center, according to Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue. No one was wearing helmets. This is the kind of thing that while tragic is completely nonsensical. You have your two children on your bike , while possibly riding recklessly. These kind of accidents are very avoidable, Hopefully the kids will be ok. He also said that the father may be facing some time behind bars .Lets hope he's right!!! There are some conflicting stories about who was driving but , they believe it may have been the 2yr old! He also mentioned that accidents are becoming more frequent and it wouldnt be a surprise to see PB county opt out of the new law. Spread the word, everyone should wise up and ride smart. We are practically the only county with this priveledge and we are becoming less rural every day. Accidents happen , but most are preventable!

I wish one of them would explain to me how the new law has anything whatsoever to do with this situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Title: Re: atv accident in loxahatchee Post by: SomBch on November 09, 2006, 03:43:55 PM He was saying that atv accidents are becoming more frequent because people are actually riding there atvs more ( ON THE ROADS)than before when they could only ride on there property, thus you have more accidents. What he was saying is that these accidents (where ever they occur) bring unneeded attention to this particular law and its liabilities. Being cognizent of this is what he is trying to convey....as we all should be.
