Title: Saint Lucie County
Post by: indianjoe on October 25, 2006, 09:26:08 AM
If you want the chance to have the ATV/Dirt Bike park that was being proposed over 2 years ago brought up again....Remember vote for Ken Waters and John Bruhn for County Commission..John Bruhn was on the commission when this was being developed 2 years ago and was in support o the project.....the same piece of property is still there.

And what is ironic is the headlines in the paper one day this week was an article about how there is nothing for teens to do in the county....but yet no one on the current commission wants to entertain the idea of this project.

The feasibility study has already been done as many of you took part in the sound test.....so get the word out to vote for these candidates!!!!

Lets create a place for teens and families to ride together!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Did you read the article that Oldfather wrote the next day?? I wrote him a email saying that they should do something like a ATV park but got no response from him. Maybe you should try sending him one too it would be great to get in the paper.

Yes it was a big head line in the Martin County edition in Yesturday news saying stop whinings teens. He goes on to say bascailly that Martin County teens are spoiled little bastard and should be happy for what they have. But as we all know this and St lucie are police county's no offence to you but if a kids is caught doing anything wrong he goes to jail. Not like when we grow up when you could have fires on the beach and parties and go out to the woods and make out with your girlfriend without being told to leave the area. Being that i have a 16 yr old and 14 yr old yes i am correct in my thinking. Please by old means read it his email is geoff.oldfather@scripps.com or his phone number is 772-221-4217

I think Oldfather's editorial was about the teens doing volunteer work vs asking suggestions for keeping them busy.  The editorial was in response to the one where the teens input was given about not having anything to do that is "cool" on the Treasure Coast.  Does not sound like he is interested in the least about another way to entertain the teens.
