Title: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 24, 2006, 06:13:28 PM any one live around here? what are some good riding spots that are about an hour's drive away. everyone talks about croom, onf, ocala, etc but those are very far away. I know River Ranch is close and so is underhills but what else? and some one give me some good info and directions to underhills. and does some one know like a list of OHV Parks? thanks for any help
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: Zoomer on October 24, 2006, 06:20:16 PM Try www.atvpathfinder.com There you can find a pretty good list of legal places to ride. Good luck.
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 24, 2006, 06:41:24 PM good site but everything on there is preety far. almost all of them were mx courses so does that mean its for racing only or can you just go and ride around?
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: raca65 on October 25, 2006, 12:56:47 PM There is nothing except the 2 places you listed and Holopaw which is like River Ranch sorry but where out of luck.
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: Fox17 on October 25, 2006, 01:26:22 PM SE is bout 1 hour from there. maybe a lil less. it is 30 mins from I-95 and 192 in melbourne. thats where we go. awesome riding. i live 30 mins north of melbourne to give you a idea of where i live.
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 25, 2006, 02:00:54 PM you have to own land to ride in SE right? so RR, Holopaw, and Underhills. i got some directions and info on underhills and it looks preety cool so ill head up there soon, i got land at RR and ill probably go next weekend if i dont go to l-cross. but what about this Holopaw everyone speaks of? how do you all like it? i want to go to an MX sort of a place where theres jumps and hills and stuff
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: BCConviber on October 25, 2006, 02:41:45 PM Underhills is straight out west on 714 about 14 miles or so from I-95 but isn't an MX type of place.. no real hills, jumps etc. Other than that you're pretty much out of luck.
What are you riding? An XR100 is a dirt bike right? If so, two wheeled bikes aren't allowed into RR anymore. Haven't been allowed for a while now. Wouldn't want you to drag it up there and not be able to ride. Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 25, 2006, 02:52:12 PM i should change my user name, i used to have an xr100 dirt bike a while ago but i got a 660 raptor now. RR is awsome even though i have only explored probably like 5% of it but i see pictures from croom and stuff and would like to hit some jumps and hills. ill be checking out underhills soon. is holopaw the same thing as SE?
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: Fox17 on October 25, 2006, 04:55:38 PM Holopaw is the same as SE. yes you have to own land. yes it is well worth it if you can find some. yes you go to jail if you dont own land out there and get through the gate and caught. if i were you i would look for land and see if you can find some.
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 25, 2006, 05:44:38 PM thanks everyone for being helpful. i know now that the only legal places to ride that are not too far are underhills, river ranch, and l-cross when there open
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: dirtsurfer on October 28, 2006, 10:45:42 AM I live in Sebastian and go to 5A. Good place to ride my lean steering trike
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on October 28, 2006, 11:11:37 AM 5A sounds familiar, how do you get there?
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: MudMan on November 02, 2006, 01:20:12 PM If you like riding at River Ranch then you will love Holopaw (aka Suburban Estates). I own land at both and will say Holopaw is better than River Ranch. But I like both. Underhills is not really worth it from what I've heard. If you are going to drive all the way there you might as well take the extra 20 minutes and go to L-Cross. None of these places really have jumps though.....the only place I know like that is Croom. Just as another idea, sometime after January you are allowed to ride at WMA's (wildlife management areas). There is one on 441 just south of Holopaw called 3-Lakes. It is very big and offers some fantastic riding. There is a northside 3-Lakes on 441 about 20 miles north of Yeehaw Junction and a southside 3-Lakes on state road 60 about 15 miles west of Yeehaw Junction. If you need any other info just let me know.

PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on November 02, 2006, 05:51:48 PM ive been to 3 lakes in my buddys truck a while ago. back then i didnt have a 4 wheeler so i wasnt really trying to tell if it would be a good place to ride but i saw plenty of utes. it was very dry when we went and not that great for mudding, which was what we went to do. but we still got stuck plenty of times. we were in a group of other nissan trucks, it was some group my buddy is in. we also got stopped a couple times by the ranger guy becuase they had reports that we were going off the trail and driving through mud and tearing up stuff. i guess they want you to only stick to the trail and not spin tires at all, but whats the fun in that. i might check it out sometime on the 4 wheelers. im not really too interested in SE since i just got land at RR and havnt even explored that yet. i go to l cross about once every couple months but its more fun to ride around and watch other people in the mud hole then ride a sport bike. right now im just looking to spend some time at RR and maybe do some camping, ill start checking out the other places in a couple months. i just wanted to get an idea of all the places near. thanks
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: MudMan on November 02, 2006, 09:27:06 PM If you get time check out SE, the land is cheaper and the riding is better. But there really isn't any specified camping area, you just kind of set up camp wherever you want.
Title: Re: VERO, FT. PIERCE, SEBASTION, PSL Post by: xr100racer on November 04, 2006, 01:11:28 AM ive always seen land for like 4 grand +. where is there cheaper land?
