Title: The truth is! Post by: 2bad on October 21, 2006, 07:34:07 AM Ya know I've been riding dirt bikes and atv's pretty much all my life. There was a few years there when I got into horses pretty heavy. (found out you have to keep fuel in there tank 24/7) But now i'm back to riding quads. I meet some pretty nice people almost every weekend when my wife and me and my kids go out to ride. I read all of these posts on here about not abusing lands that were allowed to ride on. About how we shouldn't cut fences to ride on land that belongs to farmers. About how we need to teach our youth to ride more responsibly to keep accidents down to an absolute minimum. I completley agree. 100% The Truth Is!!! the people who do all these bad things will probabley never take the time to read one of these forums. They won't be bothered with cleaning up after themselves instead of leaving trash all over the riding area. I would say that 99.9% of those types don't even know or care that there is a new law concerning dirt roads. There going to ride where they want laws or not! People like this will be the ultimate demise of atving in our state. I would like to say thank you to the good folks who produce atfflorida.com and to the responsible sportsmen and women who use this vehicle to inform, educate and entertain. As for the blockheads that cause all the trouble, well there not going to take the time to read this anyway so no sense in me wasting good trash talk.
(It's hard but It's fair, we sent them to school but they wouldn't stay there!!!) Title: Re: The truth is! Post by: eldiablo64 on October 21, 2006, 07:45:32 AM I agree 100%.

Title: Re: The truth is! Post by: Sleazy_Rider78 on October 21, 2006, 02:19:47 PM Very well said. Is it just me or does it seem like we are fighting a losing battle between people who ride responsibly and people who don't? I think from now on I am gonna try and post more positive posts about how I rode responsibly and wore all my gear. Kinda like the glass is half full posts, and try to emphasize the positive and lead by example. I think thats what Dr. Phill would do in this situation.
Title: Re: The truth is! Post by: MadMudder on October 21, 2006, 02:33:06 PM Its not like there are more bad riders than good riders. Its more like the 10,000 planes speech I get from my dad every report card. "10,000 planes land every day. Nobody says anything. But when one crashes, everybody knows about it". I think that sums it up pretty well because law makers dont notice all of us that ride responsibly and pick up after ourselves. They notice the few who tear up the land and trash the property.

Title: Re: The truth is! Post by: 450rcrazy on October 22, 2006, 08:51:36 AM I agree. I wonder if we could get some positive media coverage by aranging group cleanup ride's, Where we all meet and clean up trails of all the garbage. This may show that we are not all bad ,that we love the enviroment as much as the sierra club , we just choose to enjoy it.
