Title: Suwannee County Florida ATV ALERT!
Post by: Teej on October 03, 2006, 09:14:02 AM
The Suwannee County commision is having a public meeting to exempt the county from the new state ATV riding on certain dirt road law.

Suwannee County Sheriff dept. wants Suwannee County exempt as they claim the county has too many dirt roads for them to enforce.

I think the meeting is next Tuesday the 10th at 7pm in Live Oak.
[CAN SOMEONE VERIFY THAT DATE PLEASE? I thought they usually meet on Thursdays?  FYI  Tallahassee news has been running nightly reports on ATV riding.

Does this means they are trying Opt out..

I guess we need start a protesting on this iusse  i think' county meetings will be out by libary
on us 129 thats what i heard while back from my friends long time ago.

Well we need all OHV people to fight this and spread word so every atv rider
needs to know now and the time is now we get our suggests to them and we need huge protest
up here and i know alot rednecks in this county love atvs alot  up here.

I know they have 80% of dirt roads here in whole county,
They are too many hidden dirt roads in some parts of county i have seen around here outside live oak.

Let us know what happens keep us updated..

We need get all atv riders involed such as redneck farmers, redneck familys that rides atvs in florida, and all Ohv clubs need fight so hard with our freedom flying up redneck flags and american flags on pickup trucks or mini vans all over streets in live oak driving on us129 and over by schools zones during morning hours and later afternoon hours around 2pm or 3 pm hour!!! :gh :F :drive.gif :lecture.gif :lecture.gif

So do alot emailing to local media in live oak and do a big major protest rally
in suwannee county and time is now fight now'' and harder" and start get ready up untill following date happens and this one chance we need to win this battle for all audilt atv riders  in this area, So don't let them opt out on this one like what happen with CB county last month ago, over in lake city area they Opt out new atv law banned all atvs riding on all unpaved Roads in CB county. :drive.gif :lecture.gif

We need start printing hang out flyers to put them on peoples cars and mini vans
all over each parking alot in Live oak and all over suwannee county. :H

Thanks,
American Highlander  8)

PS: Fight harder don't let you freedom down all atvers in this area all atvs riders in this area counting on us such as OHV we need make this happened and whats is right from wrong,We need do very good things in life to make this goal happen for all teen riders and audit riders here in suwannee county, and we need be stronger and smarter fight harder and don't let old farts win this battle here.So Give riders a chance here to impoved things and this keep teens from running way and doing drifting crap at old kmarts in live oak.
So make things happened let Atv riders our american freedom rise and don't give up, your rights of fighting
and make it happen for our riders out there in state of Florida. >:(

I hope alot people are showing up for this meeting
next week and get all dealers involed from valdosta GA to jackosnville and Ocala and all over florida
So i need somebody protest our rights for all riders in Suwannee county and i hope alot atvers are showing up this meeting. So take my tips and suggestions on here even emailing media might help out, and get news involed and start ralling a protest up here so we need all atv support up here
for every rider should have right to ride here and they only graded our dirt roads here once month and
when it rains it's like mug blogging road and they been like that over ten years i lived here in mcalpin area and sending law enforcement to pull every atver off dirt roads don't do anying good here
just wasting  there time coming all way from live oak  and they have more better things to do worry about controling  road rages every afternoon they like ran people off road on us 90 or us 129 south of live oak every weekdays and people do have speeding problem here alot times.

Would this fall under zoning? Zoning ususally meets on Thursdays in Live Oak in the building on 90 next to the funderal home.

I don't think so, it should be on the commissioners agenda sheet. You need to call your commissioner instead of asking here so you will know for sure when and where it will be.

I think it's sad, we have a hard time finding places to ride close to home and the chance to ride legally on a dirt road is cool, but they can't let anybody have fun can they. I live in O'Brien and all we have to ride in is fields and our yard( unless we want to go out of town to ride) I think we do need to get togeather and say something. people are getting hurt on way more things than ATVs.
