Title: Re: Holeylands 4-23 Post by: zilla954 on April 25, 2005, 06:28:18 PM We got there around 9am, and the people were in the parking area waiting for help. We daisy chained 2 quads together, and me and the owner jumped in to lift the front. The gator wasn't in the hole when they sunk the bike. They say he came over hearing the splash. That hole is only about 8 ft across, but he left once our crew showed up.
Title: Re: Holeylands 4-23 Post by: MadMudder on April 25, 2005, 08:03:59 PM I'm pretty sure that this goes without sayin, the bike was absloutley ruined?

Im not sure about Polaris but I can tell you if it were a yamaha its a matter of draining all the fluid and replacing it and the bike will crank right up. My friend and I both have Wolverines and have been underwater like that. The utility bikes are tough as hell not sure how the sport bikes would fair though. Title: Re: Holeylands 4-23 Post by: zilla954 on May 02, 2005, 01:52:51 PM I heard from him the other day. He drained the oil and changed plug, and it started right up. I saw a brand new Vinson floating upsaide down in the canal out there one time also. After we swam it back to shore, the guy got it started within an hour. I have a ATC 200x and an LT500R that have both gone swimming, with no real problems.
That hole was between the first and second major trail on the south side about a mile out. I they they were making their own trail. Title: Re: Holeylands 4-23 Post by: MuddyGurl101 on May 02, 2005, 01:55:36 PM We have an Arctic Cat 650 that sunk. We took out the filter, doused it in diesel fuel and wrang it out. Luckily no water got into the oil and it started right up 5 minutes later! I guess we got lucky! [smiley=BigSmile.gif]
