Remember to chose one with good battery life and/or battery saver function. I had the Garmin 101 and it went through batteries so fast that it wouldn't last the day. Here's a comparison chart that I found handy. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/handheldcomparison.php Title: Re: handheld gps Post by: stacktester on September 20, 2006, 08:07:57 PM If you want something simple buy a Garmin Geko 101. You can go on Ebay and get one and also get the handlebar holder as well. Trust me, it's a simple piece. Here is a couple links to help.

What I do is when we leave camp I mark that spot and then turn it off. Once I'm ready to return to camp I turn it on and navigate back. Who wants to watch a dumb arrow all day lol. I usually can go all weekend without changing batteries and then some if you do the above.
