• Commissioners opt out of state ATV ordinance

The Columbia County Board of County Commissioners voted to opt out of a state ordinance Thursday night that would have allowed ATV riders to travel on certain unpaved roads within Columbia County.

The special meeting, which was held at the Columbia County School Board auditorium, was attended by about 40 people who were there to voice an opinion or witness the outcome of two ordinances proposed before the board of county commissioners.

The commissioners first discussed a proposed ordinance that would allow golf carts on certain public unpaved roadways in the Three Rivers Estates and Wilson Springs areas."

I grew up in 3 rivers estates, i have ridden those rodes as a kid and also a few years ago, i ride dirt roads in Gilchrist county also, i will continue to do so, if i see a cop i will simply pull off into the woods and continue on my merry way. By opting out of this great law, all they are doing is making those of us that behave while riding turn us into lawbreakers by evading the cops.

The only thing i found out from my dad he only heard it on radio
on friday morning when he was driving to his work during that morning.

I guess commissioners threw it out and they stop it and said No..
Thats why you can't ride on all unpaved roads in columbia county
i don't know you guys if anybody can change there minds around new law before oct1 2006
i think" you might try refight this iuess again on about riding on unpaved roads in florida..

I guess alot redneck farmers are  totally   >:( :cursing.gif :gh :gr     piss off at columbia county even new atv riders are totally mad at them. Does mean what did with new atv law before
they post it out when florida senaters knew way how get atvers out roadways
to have each florida county banned atvs in whole state florida? Sounds like they drag people into hot water mess to make them look bad on them to ban atv riding forever!! Sounds fishley too me hmm,

I guess they trying do get every atv rider get mad at state of florida even at "county commissioners" then whats going happen there's going major florida worldwide protest for all atv riders out and even atv companys will start doing lawsuits if they found out from new atv law in each county if they don't make enough atv sales then they know "why". If each county commissioners involved   bans atvs in other "florida counties" i know alot them will start sending protest angry atv rights to tally at capital building even at captail hill in washtion DC soon if they keep this up!!!  :pirate.gif :box.gif :ouch.gif :lecture.gif :lecture.gif

"So" I alway say if wanna fight harder if want to keep your atv riding rights on unpaved roads
then you "got" try harder and don't give up hope for your freedom.  :ThumbsUp.gif :wink.gif
