Title: what should i get ?
Post by: rubicon500kid on August 31, 2006, 08:41:36 PM
Ok im saving up sum $ and right now first thing im buying is sprockets, jet kit, filter and hand guards and a front bumper. Now im going to save up the rest of the $ I have towards either Sending my shocks to get reveled and new spring for my weight and what type of riding I do. Or a Rekluse Z-Start Clutch

I was thinking of sending my motor to atp but that has to wait till the top end goes and when money can permit.

Im not into MX more trail ,rec,XC I want to race but got to wait till I get out of school (its a lot harder this year with all AP class’s ) but I  would hit the track up every now and then.

WHAT SHOULD I GET ??????????????????????????

Do the suspension. You can't go fast if you can't stay on the gas.

I have done almost every mod that you can do to a quad. I think the best things I've done are......... number 1 being the best.

1) steering stabilizer

2) GT Thunder shock revalve/respring and new rear link

3) IMS Roll Design foot pegs.

yes if your really going to get into racing get a stabilizer!!!!

and if you get new rims make sure you get beadlocks. yes they are alot of $$$$$ but worth it in the long run.

forget the truck, alsong as it takes you where you need to go its good.
I say get yourself a stabilizer first, dont bother with beadlocks becuase its just too much money that we dont have haha, if you have the money for the revalving, do that, but first try adjusting the settings on the stockers, I adjusted my rear and it works awesome now!

What kind of stbilizer is it. If it is a stick style one, except for a PEP, you will need a new clamp for the steering stem. The 450R steering stem is larger in diameter from a 400EX. PEP you would need clamps for both ends.
