Title: Anyone near WPB have a db meter
Post by: TRX450R_Racer on August 23, 2006, 09:37:51 PM
I was wanting to check the db's of my exhaust. I want to make sure it isn't too loud for FTR. The limit is 96db. the pipe is "supposed" to be 96db. I don't want to be DQed from the first race. If it's too loud I guess I will have to go back to stock. Thanks for any help.

Put it on the truck and take it down to the Police station. They should have a db meter there. I am sure if you tell them why you need they would help out.

Radio Shack use to have one for less than $30.00 but now all I found where these two.  They're still less than $50.

Thanks for the link. I might just go buy one. I like buying tools and stuff like that as much as I like buying parts for my quad.

I had one at one time to tune in my surround sound system but my new receiver has that technology built-in so I got rid of it.  They are nice to have.  Good luck.

I found out my neighbor has one. I'm going to test my quad tonight. Here is a link on how to test it.
