STUPID HURTS, WEAR A HELMET

Seriously, when it can mean the difference between life and death what's so hard about putting a helmet on?

how about 2 people on an ATV designed for 1, or maybe the ATV was too big for her?

I feel bad for the parents and I'm glad they aren't my kids.  Two reasons: 1. I'd be worried to death about them after the accident.  2. I'd be worried to death about them after I got my hands on them.

Feel bad for the parents?  Why..aren't they partially to blame for this?

Isn't it a parent's role to be the one to SET RULES, such as wear a helmet, don't operate an ATV on the street, ONE passenger per ATV, provide supervision, and training.. etc..etc.

I mean, perhaps it's harsh to call them out on that in a time of tragedy, but I value the FREEDOM to ride an ATV more than the feelings of some parents who just weren't strict enough with common sense rules for their children.

(I know, I'm a heartless bastid, and I suck) But if no one else is gonna say it....

As Grizzlybear said, Three things are wrong here. 1: No Helmets.   2: two kids on a one person atv.  3:Was the atv too big for the kids?   My daughter gives me a hard time about buying her a larger atv. She is 5'8" tall, my height, but she is only 13.Her 90 Adley gets her around nicely. Moral to this story. Parents need to supervise their kids at all times when they are young riding atv's.

I agree with everyone but, I think if they would of had helmets on the story would have never left the woods.

parents may not have known i could go out n ride my 4 wheeler right now w/o my parents knowin but its true 2 people should not be on 1 quad [unless it was designed 4 it] but in that case 2 kids shouldnot be driven it alone and if your under 16 you should ALWAYS wear a helmet n there are very few instances anyone over 16 should not where a helmet just my thought :)

if u follow the rules  #1 is wear helmet all riders in croom  very strict  i broke carnial rule #1  in the campground but was only testing the cr500 clutch after i switched the plates , they made me push it back but i had to anyway clutch was gone. this was long before that powersport store was there and u could ride in and out and over to croom mobil for parts but unfornately  gloves and googles oil and filters wasn't what i needed..  ALL WEAR YOUR DAMN HELMET  NO EXCUSES
