Title: Which Utility Vehicle is better?
Post by: big-daddy on August 10, 2006, 08:23:17 PM
Looking for diesel and 4x4. I have driven most of them, but haven’t made up my mind in which to get. Please NO Polaris comments!

PS: the last two are more for speed and are not diesels.

I'm going to say the Rhino is the best I've seen out there. They can follow in the mud, trail, and water just as good as smaller ute quads. And I don't think you're going to see so much of a difference in power between the diesel and gas, but I'm not sure. You can always shove a Rhino 660 into low and have stump-pulling power right there. The mule would be my next pick, but I never liked how they feel like you're riding in a golf cart. The rhino just seems different, more stable.

Rhino for sure, they've been around the longest, search the web a little bit. Its amazing on how much stuff you can get for them.

I would have to say the Kawasaki Mule 3010 trans4x4 diesel. It has a second row and mule has always been pretty tough, not good for speed, but its diesel and will tow people better than the others.

How is the arctic cat compared to the rhino? I have always said I would get the Prowler instead of Rhino and I see you have driven the Prowler, how you like it?

drove the john deere, seen the prowler, but they don't want none of the Rhino, stay with yamaha BD.

The Arctic Cat hit speeds of 55+ mph and very smooth ride. After a little more reseach I found this! http://www.deere.com/en_US/deerecom/video/phase2/wmphase2.html?Video=cce_hpx_comparison&divisionName=cce

so I guest the Kubota RTV 900 and Kawasaki Mule 3010 are out.

BD, just to let you know, AC did have problems with the frame cracking on the Prowler, being my reasoning for going with the Rhino.

never herd of that one, i know the V2s had problems with the frame  cracking.

If you want good info on teh prowler I would head to www.arcticchat.com and see what they say on there.
Also the Prowlers  have a 2in reciever on the back and on the low end ones for 07 it has one on the front(dont know if they all do just see it b/c it didn't have a front bumper). The 650h1 engine is low end monster. But I really don't know much about UTVs

If you want one to play with the quads then go with a rhino, If you want one to work, go with the Polaris Ranger. The ranger will hold three in front and the rhino will hold two. I think they are the two best out there and they both have independent front and rear suspensions.

I've never seen the Prowler myself, but I have ridden with a 650H1. That thing sure had some serious power compared to the Grizzly 660. :O Been seeing alot of H1s actually...

I would get a Rhino without hesitation.  Kawasaki comes in close because of how long they have offered the mules and the accessories they have for it, but Yamaha is better all around.
