I would say at least a 14 foot trailer, but make sure its also wide enough.... we have a 7x14 that works wonderfully.... If you need some assistance on where to get one pm me & i'll get you information for somewhere that sells good trailers at a really good price.... Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: cheropride on August 02, 2006, 11:15:37 AM Pending on the size of the atv's, I would say 6x14, some trailers even have side gates, which I think is great! You save room when you load side-ways. Check out my husband did so we can fit 3 atv's on 6x14. We have side ramps that we load the atv's from the side and tie-down BIG TIME!!!

I would just put the quads upto eachother and measure, would be the easiest way to find out I'd think? You always want a little extra space though. On ours, if we sideload (including the TBX which can't be sideloaded) we can fit atleast 4 atvs.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: dedbrok on August 02, 2006, 11:51:46 AM would measure them, but havent bought them yet ;)
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: FORD4X4GIRL on August 02, 2006, 11:53:26 AM well, i know that we fit 4 4x4 quads on a 20ft equiptment trailer....
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Fox17 on August 02, 2006, 11:58:20 AM we have a 6x12 and fit 3 atvs sideways on it.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: MachineDog on August 02, 2006, 12:01:02 PM Then I'd try the manufacturer specs for the length, most likely 14 foot will be enough.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Fox17 on August 02, 2006, 12:02:10 PM oh btw ours is 6'4" to fit the rancher on it sideways. the 4 inches make the difference. ;)

Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: klutchbuster400 on August 02, 2006, 12:29:35 PM You dont need a 14 foot long to fit only 2 quads. My 6x12 fits 3 sideways.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: fkoney on August 02, 2006, 12:32:40 PM I also have a 6x12 fits two end to end our 3 side loaded
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: dedbrok on August 02, 2006, 01:00:26 PM they will be utility quads, probably 500s, low on funds or i would go down and drop the coin on a 700 like my bud's but getting used is the way i have to go so i'm not sure what exactly im gonna have when it's all said and done
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Fox17 on August 02, 2006, 01:41:44 PM 6x12 would be fine then. that gives you room for tool boxes and gear too.

Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: klutchbuster400 on August 02, 2006, 02:07:58 PM 6x12 wont be fine, atleast i dont think for a utility quad it will. Barely fit My z400 and dads warrior in the trialer, and when we measured the trialer came out to liek 6.2 I think.

Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Fox17 on August 02, 2006, 02:18:34 PM we put a rancher on it sideways. with a recon and a yfz.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: ananomaly on August 02, 2006, 03:15:56 PM I like my 8x12 deck-over...15" tires and can fit three uts side by side easily. Just unload them with a truck ramp. ;)
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Exmx54 on August 02, 2006, 04:36:44 PM My old trailer was a 6x12 enclosed and fit two MX YFZ's with a little room to spare, and about a foot of room on the side.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: ffej on August 02, 2006, 04:53:09 PM A 6 X 12 ENCLOSED WILL NOT GET TWO UT. QUADS FRONT TO BACK. YOU NEED 14 FEET. THEY SHOULD MEASURE ROUGHLY 80" IN LENGTH. DO THE MATH. REMEBER A 6 X 12 ENCLOSED IS REALLY NOT 12' INSIDE.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: Fox17 on August 02, 2006, 04:58:25 PM a 5x14 would be good for you probably. we looked at them for 2 atvs also.
Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Utes are too heavy to move to heave them side-by-side all the time. And if you're getting an enclosed I would get a 16 foot trailer IMO. Title: Re: how big a trailer for 2 atv's? Post by: cheropride on August 02, 2006, 05:57:01 PM I would have to agree w/6x14, although you could go w/6x12, but you would have to load cross ways - and yes, ute's are heavy. My hubby used to do w/ours to get 3 on 6x14 - That's when he came up with loading sideways w/ramps. He bolted bleacher seats (yea, that's right I said bleacher seats) sideways on the trailer. See pic on previous post, it works really well. Use ramps to load sideways. But for only 2 I would go w/6 x14 just much much easier and you ain't talking about alot more money either.
