Title: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: Paul_S on July 24, 2006, 10:37:36 PM We were thinking of taking off for a long weekend with our quads and was just wondering where any of you guys recomend?
Would go as far as TN, but would probably prefer somewhere closer. Would like cabin or similar to stay at. Any ideas?? Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: bigscrub79 on July 24, 2006, 10:49:31 PM I have been to Durhamtown twice and will deffinately go back. I have also heard good reviews about Broadriver which is about 45 minutes from durhamtown. Both have cabins and places for RV's so either would be a good choice.

I have a blast everytime I go. They have cabins and you can ride out on your ATV. Pismo beach is cool if you can make it to CALIFORNIA...awesome dune riding. Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: Paul_S on July 24, 2006, 11:01:14 PM Thanks
What are the trails like, I looked on their website but the atv photo link is not working. Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: Kawa3 on July 24, 2006, 11:58:32 PM I have herd a lot of good about Coal Creek in Tn
Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: fastrnrik on July 25, 2006, 06:28:34 AM What's up Paul. We've been looking at going to Durhamtown, and all the info I've recieved shows trails for everybody. Everything from trails in the woods to some MX areas. I don't remember exactly the acreage, but the place is pretty big. If you go there, take lots of pic's and let me know how you liked it.
Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: AintSkeered on July 25, 2006, 06:49:43 AM Hands-down, Durhantown! Been there 4 times in the past year. 80+ miles of trails, ranging from beginner to exteme mud trails and mx tracks. Uncrowded during the week, but, it holds a crowd well on weekends, too.

Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: Chris505 on July 25, 2006, 06:06:27 PM the riding fees are seperate from the cabin or camping fees
How many people do you have and i will give you a suggestion on which cabin to stay in.... if you are riding one day $25 if you are riding two days $40 three or more days its $55 we stayed 5 days and they only charged us $55 it is all on there site... the fishing i do not know about,, with all the trails who has time for fishing ;D bring your own food and gas because it can get pricey if you eat at the lodge everyday 3 times a day And if you go on the weekend make sure to save some energy for the night ride it is the icing on the cake ;D Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: easyrider on July 26, 2006, 08:27:34 AM Went to coal creek in April had a blast until I blew my engine on my 800 then had to ride a rental. Camping near by you can ride right out of. Watch where you go make a wrong turn could find yourself on some pretty hairy trails. Going beack with my family in Oct.
Title: Re: Coolest place for ATV vacation?? Post by: Dan on July 26, 2006, 06:47:47 PM Hatfield Mccoy Trails in southern West Virginia is 12 to 14 hours away from Orlando and well worth the trip. Most of the drive is interstate, the last 1-2 hours is mountain roads but not too bad just slow. Plenty of cabins, campgrounds, hotels & lodges. You can park your truck from the time you get there til the time you leave because you can ride your atv from wherever your staying through the towns to the trail, gas stations or restaruants. There's over 500 miles of trails and the people welcome atv riders. We take a 3 or 4 day weekend and still get 2 good days of riding in. Check out the website https://www.trailsheaven.com/trailstatus.cfm. There's plenty of info and links to places to stay.
