Title: requir' for steet legal bike

does anyone know what's require to make a dirt bkie street legal in florida.

i have a ttr 225 and would like to convert it to street legal just to run around the neighbor hood and up to the store

Dot approved tires,turn signals,head light,brake light,and i think atleast one work mirror

Not anymore, as of january 2004 law florida laws prohibit this sort of thing if the bike originally had a off-road title.
Seems too many guys were building backyard supermoto bikes and having too much of a good time, the law had to step in.

There are loopholes but it's not worth it, it's easier to just buy an dual-sport and be done with it.

You mean it's illegal to ride dirt bikes and quads on the road?      Only if you get caught  :o!  JK, I would never condone such actions as they are illegal and dangerous  ::).

It is a shame that you can buy almost the exact same bike from the dealer with the stuff you want to add and it's o.k. but you can't do it yourself later.
