Title: Croom- 1st time at Croom, where to go?
Post by: PaulH on July 14, 2006, 12:18:53 PM
Hey, I'm riding at Croom this weekend and I've never been before. I'm riding a Recon and would like to check out the cool spots first so I don't ride around looking all day. Hills, MUD, etc. Just trail riding...  Which parking area should I stop at and which direction should I head first?  Thanks!

Ahhh... I just saw the Croom google earth thread at the top. I picked out the spots I want to check out.  Thanks to Mr. BoNes for that thread.

Go all the way back to the North parking area by the bathrooms. Hills, mud, etc all within 200 yards.

Go to the top of this section and print the google earth map of Croom. It will help you a lot.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I've been going to Croom for about 8 years now.  And the only thing that has really changed over the years is the people that go there.  Okay the trails have also changed due to the weather and all of the riding.  My son and I used to gothere at least once a month, but it has gotten so crowed that we don't go as often.  We know the forest like the back of our hands.  We just here lately (for about a year) starting going to Big Scrub because it's not so crowed. Both places are great places to ride rules or no rules.  It is all up to you what you make of it. Some people can't help it if they are (A) HOLES,Just be greatful we have places to ride our ATV's.  Not everyone is lucky enough to own an ATV. We all know that feeling.  So enjoy life, it is to short as it is.
