Title: Heard this story on the radio Post by: Chuck_Norris on December 09, 2004, 03:50:37 AM I was driving into work this morning and heard this story, It was touching enough I felt I should share it.
... There is a story about a little girl. she was physically and mentally abuse continuously. well she seemed to have been wrapping a gift with some gold wrapping paper, when her father looked over a noticed just how wasteful she had become with the gold paper. Her father flew into a rage punishing her serverly. Ironic the next day was Christmas and the little girl was so very happy and full of joy when that same gift wrapped in gold paper she presented to her father. The Man was completely embarassed. He proceeded to open the gift. Upon opening the gift he found that there was nothing in the box.... He immediately flew into a rage once again expressing physical harm to the young girl again. shouting at her "It is rude to give an empty box as a gift!" With tears in her eyes the little girl looked up at her father and said "Daddy it is not empty, it is full of Kisses that I blew into it everyday for a year". The Man was utterly destroyed. Realizing what he had done he apologized with his heart full of grief.. He and his daughter placed the box in Gold paper on the night stand and every night thereafter the father reaches in to get one of the kisses his daughter preciously blew in to that box wrapped in gold paper. ... I know of a song that comes on about this time every year "called these shoes" I believe this is another contribution to softing the harden hearts of some, realizing what Christmas is all about and the true meaning of a valued gift. The reason for the season is Jesus Christ!! Title: Re: Heard this story on the radio Post by: Hoosier Daddy on December 09, 2004, 03:59:39 AM nice job chuck..

Title: Re: Heard this story on the radio Post by: RL400 on December 09, 2004, 11:59:36 AM nice chuck.
this is perfect example of how alot of people ACT before they THINK. Title: Re: Heard this story on the radio Post by: Chuck_Norris on December 09, 2004, 03:43:30 PM The business that myself and bigworm are in aswell and many of you may also be.it is easy to sit back and observe the level people choose to express a concern to you, as well as how we choose to react in addressing the concerns. Stress and controling it is an art in its self. one word can take a normal situation and spiral it out of control. I have learned self control in dealing with heated situations. this in turn gives me the abilty to deal with family concerns as well and avoid the physical/ mental pain that all of us are capable of causing and endangering the the young minds of our children.
This however doesnt mean I dont punish my children either punishment is something they do know well. I took these verses from the Bible. Proverbs is full of scripture that can shine a light on alll types of attitudes Pro 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left [to himself] bringeth his mother to shame. Psa 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Mat 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
