Title: Wide quads at Croom... Post by: ucfwarrior on December 09, 2004, 07:07:59 PM I may be goin to Croom monday and I was wonderin if any of you guys with wide quads make it through all the trails without any problems. I've got a stock axle with offset wheels and Durablue spacers, its around 52 inches wide. The guy I'm goin with has a cr500 and says the trails he rides are pretty tight and I should take the spacers off.
I hate to take em off just cuz its a PITA and it handles better anyways, but I really dont wanna clip any trees following his pace in the trails. Thanks Title: Re: Wide quads at Croom... But i did bend a tie rod end last weekend in those pits with the cutout trails that lead down into them...
Right wheel hit the side and jammed and i guess i was holding the handlebars tight and the left wheel could not turn right so it made the tie rod bar a half moon shape :-/.... But with 52inch width you might knock down some extra trees on the side of some of the trails.. or even find some stumps that will wake you right up |
