Title: Re: warriors Post by: Michelle on December 12, 2004, 04:55:09 PM Quote the one i'm getting is a '96 Hey I just got rid of a 96 Warrior. We never had anything major wrong w/it.The only reason we sold was because hubby wanted a 400 ex.I have drove both and I know I may get bashed for this.BUT I liked the way the warrior handled more so than the 400 ex. Title: Re: warriors Post by: 96 warrior on December 12, 2004, 05:01:53 PM o how dose it compare speed wise
Title: Re: warriors Post by: Michelle on December 12, 2004, 05:06:14 PM Quote o how dose it compare speed wise My husband say's there is NO comparison ;D The 400 ex is faster,,,,,,,,,,,but personally I liked the warrior better. Title: Re: warriors Post by: 96 warrior on December 12, 2004, 05:51:02 PM thats ok, the people i will ride with have 250ex and i no i will be faster than them ( i hope o4250 reads this lol)
Title: Re: warriors Post by: PredaGator on December 12, 2004, 05:56:59 PM I had a 2000 Warrior and I rode it very hard for 2 years and never had any trouble with it at all. It was very reliable and fun to ride. I got rid of it for a 400ex one day on a whim when I took the bike in for maintenance. If the bike you are interested is in good shape and the price is right, you should end up w/ a reliable bike. Just my .02. I hopeeverything works out in your favor.
Title: Re: warriors Post by: 96 warrior on December 12, 2004, 06:20:35 PM the bike looks good and its $2000
Title: Re: warriors Post by: CABLEGUY1 on December 12, 2004, 07:16:14 PM My brother has one and its pretty good for wheelies and it goes thru decent sized mud holes for a 2 wheel drive.
Title: Re: warriors Post by: love_to_roost on December 13, 2004, 05:43:45 AM I have been a warrior owner since 96 and while now there a
ton of bikes that are faster they are good solid quads. With a pipe and rejetting the carb plus a decent filter you will have a reasonably quick bike.Having reverse will save youre life on trail rides. And since they have been around for so long there is a bunch of stuff out there for them.Do youre maintenance and it will last forever . Title: Re: warriors Post by: B-man on December 13, 2004, 06:57:47 AM Super reliable but not very fast, but then again they are not meant to be race quads. Excellent for beginers or for simply cruising. We have a rappy 350 in the group and it is a well mannered quad....just not very fast.
Title: Re: warriors Post by: o4250 on December 13, 2004, 11:35:17 AM Quote thats ok, the people i will ride with have 250ex and i no i will be slower than them ( i hope o4250 reads this becuase he is just the coolest person ever and i want to be just like himl) man he so cool well thanks iwish :D Title: Re: warriors Post by: 96 warrior on December 13, 2004, 02:19:36 PM yeah right o4slow250

I got for the old warrior,I would have kept it for myself.I loved that thing ;D Title: Re: warriors Post by: jbbj220 on December 15, 2004, 11:16:37 AM I ride a '01 warrior and have really enjoyed it. I have added a set of Hole Shot tires made a big diff in the way it handles. Fast enough for me but then I am an old man (61). You will like it.
Title: Re: warriors Post by: 96 warrior on December 15, 2004, 02:09:57 PM i'm sure it will be fast enough for me, and if not i'll just get a lot of mods ;D
Title: Re: warriors Post by: big-daddy on December 15, 2004, 05:34:52 PM its best to start with a fast quad and then when you get bored do the mods. my 2 cents
Title: Re: warriors Post by: weekendwarrior1 on December 15, 2004, 07:01:55 PM I have a 2001 warrior. It's a great bike. I've never had any mechanical problems with it. I think the size of the rider makes a difference with this bike. I'm 6 foot 1 and 225lbs. and fit well on the warrior. I rode a friends 300 ex and I felt like a fat man in a little coat.
