Title: Guidance on a bike Post by: Roostin300ex on June 20, 2006, 12:26:33 AM i havent been able to ride my four wheeler forever due to broken sruff but i guy i work with is buying it tomorrow. I am looking to buy another quad and want a fast bike that i can possibl use for recreational racing but mainly just to ride fast and have fun with...the budget is roughly $2500. I asm considering a raptor, 400ex, or 250R. guidance please...are 250Rs going to be to old with too many problems? I Know 400 exes are great reliable bikes wiuth tons of aftermarket parts....and the only bad things ive heard about a raptor are that it is top heavy

Good luck to you, maybe an older 40 ex, you can probably find an r for that price though. Title: Re: Guidance on a bike Post by: MadMudder on June 20, 2006, 03:25:15 PM I dont know klutch, now that the 450's are dominating now you can find a 400ex or z400 for a good price. Infact our quad mechanic picked up a 03 400ex with low hours and no probs for what your budget is. And your right about the aftermarket because used to a 400 was all you got so there is a ton of aftermarket for these quads. So i would say a 400ex or a comparable 400 sport quad.
