Title: Re: atv accident Post by: PLEDGER#76 on June 17, 2006, 09:35:52 PM About 2 years ago I was using the cheap tie-downs and lost my sons brand new lt80 off the trailer cause of the cheap a$$ tie-downs, since then it is only the ancra tie downs that I use, so I know how you feel I have been there...Sorry that it happened to you too!!!!!
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: 1FasterBlaster on June 18, 2006, 11:41:23 AM I got lucky. A tiedown broke after I went across some R.R. tracks. I stopped at a light and saw my quad sitting sideways.Fortunately, there was no damage!!
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: klutchbuster400 on June 18, 2006, 12:23:14 PM sucks, but in a few years you guys can look back and laugh at this!
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: fastrnrik on June 18, 2006, 01:29:07 PM Laugh in a few years? I'm laughing now. I'm laughing with you though, not at you. I thought I was the only one this kind of thing happened to. Good luck with your repairs.
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: strtrcr06 on June 18, 2006, 02:56:12 PM Yeah that happened to me too, no major damage to the atv though. The atv rammed into the back of my dads truck.
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: 4fittyr on June 18, 2006, 03:24:11 PM good tie downs and enclosed trailer prevent stuff like that from happening or loseing them sorry about ur luck
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: snowmanzz13 on June 19, 2006, 11:56:34 AM the tie downs were great and we never had problems until this, and we think it broke because it might hae been tied down over one of the grease fittings on the lower a-arm
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: gery350 on June 19, 2006, 04:44:25 PM ouch. i think i would cry if that happened to me.
i was wondering what kinda trailer cause i have an open trailer wih 15" sides and ramp/gate so the atvs would have to jump 15" to clear the sides. my son even asks me if tie downs are necessary. i'd rather be safe then ..................(you) ;D sorry for your mishap. Title: Re: atv accident Post by: snowmanzz13 on June 19, 2006, 06:28:37 PM they were in the back of our truck, one was backed in and the other was pulled in behind, but we pulled the front of the blaster onto the front of the bombardier and the tie down fro the front poped and the tailgate was open so it just "flipped" out of the truck
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: rubicon500kid on June 19, 2006, 06:46:39 PM dang how fast where you going ? where you on a main road

EDIT: never mind I get it, but were you on a main road?! Title: Re: atv accident Post by: snowmanzz13 on June 20, 2006, 11:32:23 AM we were coming home from ocala on the turnpike going about 85mph and my dad looked back and just said sh!t and i was confused, he pulled over and backed up and it had gone from the south bound lanes to the inside shoulder of the north bound lanes, and this guy pulled over and helped us get it back
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: unvme2420 on June 20, 2006, 02:55:41 PM same thing happened to me. 2 brand new out of the box bear trackers on a trailer doing 60mph then lost them of the trailer.
Title: Re: atv accident Post by: snowmanzz13 on July 08, 2006, 01:24:40 PM ;D ;D ;Dthe bombardier is completly fixed except the starter relay is broke, and the blaster is waitin on the front spindles and were upgrading to disc brakes insted of the drums, but the sad thing is, that stuff is supposed to arrive the evening that i'm leaving for two weeks, so that means 2 weeks without being able to see my quad helpless or any progress being made on her to get back out on the trails
