Title: Liquid Cooled vs air/oil cooled
Post by: GrizzlyBear on June 16, 2006, 06:54:04 PM
The Yamaha Bruin is air cooled and the kodiak is liquid cooled.  If you were going to use it for trail riding in the ONF would either unit work.

Either one would be fine. Liquid cooled is always better though.

You won't have a problem with either.  You are probably never going to have motor problems, so the extra water cooling stuff isn't gonna bother anything, and it'll keep it cooler.  I personally would just get the air cooled one and save the money and have a simpler bike, unless there's things like power and stuff that you also want to consider.
