Post by: LakeMaryKid on December 22, 2004, 02:08:29 PM
Freaking bad luck never runs out for my family. First my dad loses his job, then im riding his bike and i hit a jump and the freaking rear axle snaps hes pissed, then my moms van needs new tires, then one of my dog almost dies and has a piece of fabric stuck in the pipe that connects her stomach and intestine and alreayd s[ent 200 freaking dollars and the surgery isnt even over.THen im riding my bike today and a stick gets caught up in the chain and bends the whole freaking shifter assembly so now i hvae a broken four wheeler 2 broken bicycles, a dog that is dying until she gets surgery, tires that are about to blow out WTF is nexyt!!!!!! maybe its good my quad aint fixed. Maybe when it does get fixed itll blow up between my legs literally~!

here's some helpful advice KID....

go in your room....lock the door...and dont come out until this time next year!

or

1. your dad got another job so thats fixed.
2. you learn to watch where you're going and one bike is saved.
3. you stop ragging bikes that arent yours. (jumpin pop's bike)
4. you quit feeding your dog fabric....at least give her left overs.

just kidding bro......look at it this way....things cant get much worse and you were able to see those two hot nurses today so maybe things are getting better!!!

What exactly is wrong with the quad kid. I have quite a few extra parts left over from us putting mine together maybe I can help.  ;) I know I have a shifter. Does it need a shaft or yo think we can bend it back with some heat? Otherwise I know how you feel...when it rains it pours! Don't sweat it though man everything happens for a reason just remeber no matter how bad it is it can always be worse.

You know kid you just need to keep your head up and keep pushing on because your not the only one that has problems, Example...Went to work on Nov 30 and the company I work for just deceided to close their doors (Southeast airlines) and to make matters worse they are screwing 370 people out of 4 weeks of pay, so your not the only family that has problems, all you can do is stick together and work as a family to make things better......Merry Christmas,  KEN

TOY_DOCTOR, you say you lost your job at Southeast airlines? What was your job? If you are an A&P mechanic I might be able to put onto a good job. JIM

You gotta step back and think of the good.Take a breather. We all need to do that from time to time.
Its better to go into something w/a clear head.
But speaking of dogs.Yesterday evening Sissy's pup got curios.
She put her head in a mason jar to sniff out the rollie pollies.I was doin laundry and heard the whining.Walked out to see what was up.I saw all this blood, and the glass broke around her neck.Asked my oldest boy t o go grab some wash clothes.Got the bleeding to stop, but for the life of me I could not get that thing from around her neck.So heres me and all 3 kids crying.Told myself,STOP,ascess the situation.Got my head cleared.Dalton ran back inside grabbed some hand towels and the meat tenderiser{lil heavy steel mallot}Stuffed the towels around it ,in it,and gave it one good tap.
Of course I had to take a pic also. Not everyday you see a pup with a ring of glass around its neck ;D

Anywho kid it will all work out for the better in the end,it really will.....

                                            Best Wishes and Merry X-mas

Aww, poor dog, lol.

As for your situation LMK.... It can always be worse. I like Michelle's way of thinking.. just clear your head. Trust me, no matter how bad things are, they can always be worse, and they will always get better. My life hasnt exactly been easy either, hell, I could tell you stories that will make you cry, and I can promise you that. I hide my pain extremely well, so theres a lot in there to talk about. But anyway, without getting into any details... I've learned to focus on the good. Even if everything around you is turning to hell, there will always be something good. It could be a cool picture that facinates you, a friend to talk to, or a hobby that just takes you away from it all. When I was a kid, the only good thing I had was writing. I would sit up in my room for hours and just write. It may not seem like much, but I swear to you, it saved me from a lot of things, but yeah, hmm... funny how just talking around something can bring back so much... well, I'm stopping now before I start crying. Hope some of my ideas help... you know the AOL name if you ever want to talk about stuff. :)

A little something I got in the mail,

WE WENT TO THE COMMISSARY TODAY AT FORT LEE AND PICKED UP AN ARMY PAPER AND THOUGHT THIS WAS WORTH SENDING.

I HAD NO CHRISTMAS SPIRIT WHEN I BREATHED A WEARY SIGH,
AND LOOKED ACROSS THE TABLE WHERE THE BILLS WERE PILED TOO HIGH.
THE LAUNDRY WASN'T FINISHED AND THE CAR I HAD TO FIX,
MY STOCKS WERE DOWN ANOTHER POINT, THE CHARGERS LOST BY SIX.

AND SO WITH ONLY MINUTES TILL MY SON GOT HOME FROM SCHOOL,
I GAVE UP ON THE DRUDGERY AND GRABBED A WOODEN STOOL.
THE BURDENS THAT I CARRIED WERE ABOUT ALL I COULD TAKE,
AND SO I FLIPPED THE TV ON TO CATCH A LITTLE BREAK.

I CAME UPON A DESERT SCENE IN SHADES OF TAN AND RUST,
NO SNOWFLAKES HUNG UPON THE WIND, JUST CLOUDS OF SWIRLING DUST.
AND WHERE THE REINDEERS SHOULD HAVE STOOD BEFORE A LADEN SLEIGH,
EIGHT HUMVEES RAN A COLUMN RIGHT BEHIND AN MIA.

A GROUP OF BOYS WALKED PAST THE TANK, NOT ONE WAS PAST HIS TEENS,
THEIR EYES WERE HARD AS POLISHED FLINT, THEIR FACES DRAWN AND LEAN.
THEY WALKED THE STREET IN ARMOR WITH THEIR RIFLES SHOULDERED TIGHT,
THEIR DEAREST WISH FOR CHRISTMAS, JUST TO HAVE A SILENT NIGHT.

OTHER SOLDIERS GATHERED, HUNKERED DOWN AGAINST THE WIND,
TO SHARE A SCRAP OF MAIL AND DREAMS OF GOING HOME AGAIN.
THERE WASN'T MUCH AT ALL TO PUT THEIR LONELY HEARTS AT EASE,
THEY HAD NO CHRISTMAS TURKEY, JUST A PACK OF MRE'S.

THEY DIDN'T HAVE A GARLAND OR A STOCKING I COULD SEE,
THEY DIDN'T NEED AN ORNAMENT--THEY LACKED A CHRISTMAS TREE.
THEY DIDN'T HAVE A PRESENT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TRADITION,
THE ONLY BOXES I COULD SEE WERE LABELED "AMMUNITION."

I FELT A LITTLE TUG AND FOUND MY SON NOW BY MY SIDE,
HE ASKED ME WHAT IT WAS I FEARED, AND WHY IT WAS I CRIED.
I SWEPT HIM UP INTO MY ARMS AND HELD HIM OH SO NEAR,
AND KISSED HIM ON THE FOREHEAD AS I WHISPERED IN HIS EAR.

THERE'S NOTHING WRONG MY LITTLE SON, FOR SAFE WE SLEEP TONIGHT,
OUR HEROES STAND ON FOREIGN LAND TO GIVE US ALL THE RIGHT,
TO WORRY ON THE THINGS IN LIFE THAT MEAN NOTHING AT ALL,
INSTEAD OF WONDERING IF WE WILL BE THE NEXT TO FALL.

HE LOOKED AT ME AS CHILDREN DO AND SAID IT'S ALWAYS RIGHT,
TO THANK THE ONES WHO HELP US AND PERHAPS THAT WE SHOULD WRITE.
AND SO WE PUSHED ASIDE THE BILLS AND SAT TO DRAFT A NOTE,
TO THANK THE MANY FAR FROM HOME, AND THIS IS WHAT WE WROTE:

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND KEEP YOU SAFE, AND SPEED YOUR WAY BACK HOME.
REMEMBER THAT WE LOVE YOU SO, AND THAT YOU'RE NOT ALONE.
THE GIFT YOU GIVE YOU SHARE WITH ALL, A PRESENT EVERY DAY.
YOU GIVE THE GIFT OF LIBERTY AND THAT WE CAN'T REPAY.

GOD BLESS THEM AND BRING THEM SAFELY HOME. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM AND THEIR LOVED ONES AT HOME

We all can thank those over there fighting for us.
