Title: anyone into the repo and storage auctions?
Post by: mikeE36 on May 27, 2006, 01:19:19 AM
A friend of ours did the storage auction thing and found some valueable stuff and made some good money. Storage auctions are where people leave and stop paying there rent so the storage places sell the unit and contents to bidders.

If anyone has any information or links for repo and storage auctions in the state i'd be really greatful.

Thank you

A friend of mine bought the contents of a storage unit at an auction, but they didn't let him see what was inside it.

Turns out he found a trunk full of cocaine in the unit.

He had to turn it into the police though, otherwise, that might have been the most profitable auction purchase ever.

you would just have to go to your loca storage place and ask them when is ther next auction date. I know someone that does that and he has made some nice $$$ but he has also bought worthless junk too. its a hit or miss type of deal.

I would think so. I would be really pissed if I paid for something not knowing what is is, and it turns out to be junk!!

pretty sure they still do them. Your agreement says any items contained inside will be sold to cover past due rent or something like that. they are usally listed in the public announcement section of the news paper as they have to give public notice of the sale.

on a side note ... this is an old thread why not just start a new one?
