Title: Cycle Sports Center-Orlando, FL
Post by: apkkfx400 on May 22, 2006, 02:44:27 PM
Took in my '05 Kawasaki KFX to Cycle Sports Center, Orlando (dealer from whom I purchased it from) for a concern with the clutch cover corroding due to a reaction between the coolant and magnesium clutch cover that came on the 2005-06 kfx400 models.  I originally initiated my concern with Kawasaki who advised to take it to the dealer I purchased it from.  Took approx. 6wks, but Kawasaki participated in 100% of the repair-parts and labor, even threw in an oil change and coolant service on the warranty claim.   :Clap.gif  Good job to Kawasaki and Cycle Sports Center!!!!

yup.  They had to wait for the clutch cover to come in-it was on a national backorder.  Believe me, it was killing me when we were having a few good weekends of weather-especially when it was under 80-85f degrees!!  But it's better fixed than finding out when the coolant would have mixed in with the oil!  Working in the automotive industry I can understand a national backorder-they suck, for the customer and for the dealer!!

just wanted to be clear on that,,,if you had to wait 6 weeks for the place to work on the quad I would not be happy, but since it was not their fault, I guess they did you right.

Hey Mark,
I gotta give a hats off to Cycle Riders Suzuki in Longwood to. They had my z400 for a month but they also replaced the the same part for free and did not charge me for labor or coolant.
