only problem with that is the 4 wheel drive hasnt been locking in, been having a problem with it lately

Well, knowing you have a intermitten 4x4 not working problem, why not go ahead and take it out in some really deep sugar sand....atleast you did not get pulled out by a atv. 

was gonna use it, but my stepdad was alrdy unhappy that he got stuck, so a quad pullin him out definly wouldnt of helped lol

Agreed. My list is Chevy, then Ford, and then Dodge.

Did the Dodge fry his tranny pulling the Ford out?

My last truck was a Dodge. When I traded it in at the ford dealer they asked me to leave the trash somewhere else and just turn in the good parts! Having alot of things in the bed I didn't realize they actually meant the truck frame and body! So I Left the motor (Cummins) and got a real truck (Ford). It was pretty much the only thing working on it after 192,000 miles.

My dad's (60 yearsold) blew his Dodge tranny at 40k miles, zero towing, and the heaviest thing inthe bed was my old RM80. Truck was never driven hard.... Pshhh Dodge's....  :P

the ford looks like its only in 2x4  the back tires are only spinnin

The driver in the FORD wasn't using 4X4 ;).....Only rear end was pushing the truck.  FORD is better anyways ;)

Is chevy really all that great? I hear so many bad things about reliability, I think I'd rather have a ford. Chevy are cheap as crud though. :/ Whatever, I'm getting a V6 Taco 4x4 anyway.

Every truck is a good truck if you take care of it and know how to drive it. I love my chevy. 97 k1500 160k and i've been givin it hell since 90k so it takes the abuse. i'd probably pick a nissan titan over everything else now a days though.

Yea, thing is my dad had an old 84 Toyota Pickup for 12 years, it never had a problem just was getting too rusty to be cool anymore so he got a jeep. We had the dodge 1500 for 7 years, we traded it in for an F-250 a month or two ago as the tranny was slipping all over the place, it had a bad squeak in the bed while driving, and soon as we got to the dealership the radiator coolant hose broke. Not to mention towing just the arctic cat in a 12 foot enclosed would give that 5.2L V8 trouble. The tranny started overheating just at cruising speed with that trailer going up US27 a couple of weeks before we traded it in. Managed to get 8K out of that 99 Dodge 1500 though. lol

Try 380hp running 93octane... As nightbreed said.. The best anti-theft device made these days.. A V8.

No way, shotgun is still the best anti-theft device. And besides, if you want power you want a diesel. Talk about 325 HP and 550 ft-lbs of torque before your engine even has 150hp. Unfortunately though they're heavy as heck..

Exactly, all that power of a deisel and its way to heavy to use in the mud..Not to mention all the crap you can mess up under the hood, like the turbo's...I would also never buy a Jap truck. I can't believe the Ridgeline won truck of the year award, its a uni-body, it is NOT a truck, and I don't know about the Titan, I just know I would buy a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge before I got a Jap truck.. I dont know that much about truck's, just the basic stuff, I'm more into V8 sports cars...And as for V8's being the best anti-theft deivice, isn't the Cadilac Escalade one of the most stolen vehicles there is? But that is true to some extent, not to many V8's get stolen.

Actually the titan is a nice truck. Big 5.6L V8 is standard which has more power than the Big Block in the F-150. It's also made lightweight with a fully boxed frame. The only thing that could compete with it was the Dodge 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi. Which still couldn't beat it in speed and handling. The Dodge did however beat it in uphill driving with a trailer. Meh, and I've seen them. They're nice trucks.

Working for a multi-point dealer (Chevy,Ford,GMC, Dodge,Toyota,Nissan) in Sebring gives me the opportunity to drive and demo all the domestic and import trucks.  The F150 and the Tundra are probably the best road trucks that I have encountered.  But I have found that the Nissan Titan 5.6 is the best truck on road and off road.  And that is coming from a very non biased person.  The Dodge, hands down, would be my last pick!  Ill take a 10 yr old Tacoma anyday though! ;)

FORD??? You dont sell no Fords!!!! And I will put a good old American built Chevy or GMC agains your Rice burner Nissan any day off road ;)

Ask anyone who has the Nissan Titan what kind of fuel milage they get and then go check the resale values of them.

   I wont go there with you ;) because we have a Nissan dealership, BBBBUUUUUTTT can you say HALF :o

The only thing I dont like about this truck is the traction controll system and no over ride.  Good wheel spin for about 5 sec then falls on its face.   road or offroad

dunno about anyone else, but my 5.4L F-150 gets me in the upper 18's or 19MPG every day,,,,mixed city/highway.

Not mine, my sticker only rates 13-16mpg.. Maybe its because of that leafblower I have attached..

Traction control is great but I cannot beleive that they would put it in a truck with no overide switch.

Yep, I actually had a guy wanting to trade a 2005 Titan in with 3,900 miles and a guy trying to trade a 2003 toyota tundra in with 39,000 miles and there was not much difference in the trade value. This happened on the same day and at the same exact time. Was told the titan is not a good resale value because of the fuel milage.

Maybe there is a chip or something to make it over ride. Pisses me off that I cant hot dog it in the wet or loose sand.
All that power and it has a restrictor plate on it. Maybe Nascar has something to do with it.

I don't see to many titans pulling toyhaulers, I'll keep my F350... 20 MPG unloaded and 13 loaded

You don’t see many F150's or Chevy 1500 pulling toy haulers either.  1/2 ton trucks. ;)

I see lots of 1/2 ton trucks pull toyhaulers there just smaller toyhaulers  ;D

Where do you get that kinda gas mileage? We get 13-14 average in our F-250 Power Stroke with 3.73 gears. Just wondering. Can't wait to see a buddy of ours F-150 when we go to North Carolina, he wants to tow the quads himself, all of them, to save gas. Please note that the F-150 has a 5.4L 3Valve with VVT. But c'mon, that's a 6-7000 pound trailer in the winding hills of NC.

ouch, I regularly pull about 4500 pounds with my 5.4L F-150 and it pulls just fine, but stopping is another story ;-)

Diesel clean every tank and 70 MPH go over 70 and get about 17/18 MPG

If you guys want to talk horsepower then the 06 Chevy Silverado max is king. 350hp I think. But when you talk gas miliage its GPM instead of MPG. Cause its just a watered down version of the 6.0litre Vortec Racing engine. Anyway we haul a 7600 pound camper with my dads 99 1500 chevy and it pulls just fine.
