Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: LakeMaryKid on May 17, 2006, 08:17:55 PM Ahhhh finally all this talk of me gettin a ford FINALLY convinced him. YEEHAW I love the centennial editions. They are sweet now just throw some black rims on her and a slight lift. And GOT DAMN that thing is LONNNNNNNNNNNG.
Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: IneedPOWA on May 17, 2006, 08:28:53 PM FORD!!!!!!!!! ;D I am in love with Superdutys, especially the crewcab longbeds like urs. Can you say lift kit!
Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: Bigscrb15 on May 17, 2006, 10:00:07 PM Unfortunately I am gonna leave it stock. I love lifted trucks just as much as the next guy but I need stock size tires and I am not gonna lift it and keep stock tires. If I go with bigger tires it will throw off the final gear ratio and I will lose towing power. With our toy hauler at 13000lbs I can't sacrifice any power. I MAY get the leveling kit and just go up 1 size to a 285/75/16 though. LMK, black rims sound sweet, good idea. I love the blacked out look and haven't even thought about rims yet.
Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: CABLEGUY1 on May 17, 2006, 10:33:04 PM Not sure why you spent all that money to downgrade from a chevy to a ford.Keep the guys number that bought your chevy for when you need a ride home after waiting for the tow truck.Okay, okay I'm just busting your chops. Yes I'm a chevy man but even I have to admit "THAT'S A NICE LOOKING TRUCK".Man that was hard to say.LOL. Just curious, did you check on any chevy trucks in that same price range and if so were they not as nice or strong as what you were looking for or do you just like fords? Also did you look at any dodge trucks? I have to agree even a 2 inch lift with a slightly taller tire would make a world of difference in the look of the truck but I understand your reasoning. Either way that's a nice truck. Good luck with it.
Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: Bigscrb15 on May 17, 2006, 10:41:39 PM I looked at Chevy's and GMC's but I couldn't get one as nice for the price. My dad has a Duramax CrewCab Longbed so when I break down he can come get me and the trailer.
Title: Re: My New Truck. Post by: 4fittyr on May 17, 2006, 11:02:47 PM truck looks nice but i guess u cant turn it around in a 40 acre field lol fords drink the fuel twice as bad as a chevy

It will get 23 on the highway. For a big truck they don't drink much diesel. Title: Re: My New Truck.
