Title: my family vacation to KENTUCKY video added
Post by: dreth on May 10, 2006, 02:57:52 PM
we drove 16.5 hours to get there after working all day so we arrived at the cabin around 10am saturday morning. my wife and dad went to sleep and i took off exploring the very rocky mountains. it was sunny and 79 degrees so i put the hammer down, at some points hitting in the mid 60 mph range going up and coming down the mountain ;) you know how i do it ;D.

it rained all night and day the next day so we didnt ride. we went into town and watched a movie, took a tour of the local neighborhoods, and got some lunch.

when we got home i started to build a fire for the guys that did go riding because i knew they would be wet and cold.

due to the rain we needed a front porch, so the local walmart had just the thing. they are building porches on them but they just opened up for buisness and still working on the cabins.

the trail markers.  green for easy and blue for intermediate. hard to tell in the pi but the trail going down is a blue trail and the trail going up is the green

this place is located in harlan county, KY. it is a very mountainess area, lots of rocks, water holes, steep climbs and easy climbs. more for utility quads due to water but either will do 90% of the terrain. you can ride on the roads.  i would go back on a utility with great brakes ;)

if anyone needs more info please PM me and i will get you details.
