Title: East Coast Cycles in Davie, Florida Post by: Sleazy_Rider78 on April 09, 2006, 04:54:59 PM About 4 weeks ago I brought my bike into this place to have to top end rebuilt. I have been told on 5 different occasions that my bike will be ready and here we are 4 weeks later its still not ready. Every time I call on the day that its supposed to be ready, I get some lame excuse why its going to take longer. I just wanted to see if anyone else in the Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Cooper City area has dealt with these people and had similar problems. Its pretty frustrating when you are told that your bike is going to be ready for the weekend and when you show up to pick up the bike you get some excuse as to why your bike isn't ready.

They might be slow and you gotta keep your eye on what they're trying to pull and what they're trying to sell and telll you. But I'd say they are normal.

They'd be better at finding why it's not running well and fixing the problem. A dealer will just start guessing around and be replacing parts till you're broke. But I'm sure you know all this already. :) Title: Re: East Coast Cycles in Davie, Florida Post by: KD 428 on April 17, 2006, 09:30:24 PM strange... ??? i take my blaster,go peds, moped there all the time and its always been perfect. maybe cuz my mom is friends w/ the owner?

I had to stay on their tail about my bike and went by the shop just about every day. I was courteous every time I went there and they were courteous to me as well, towards the end I went straight to the mechanic to check up on the status just to go straight to the source. In the end they did a good job and my bike runs well. I guess they are just slow about getting the work done, possibly got held up while ordering the parts. All in all it took them about 4 weeks to finish the top end rebuild. Thank God they finished my bike in time to bring it up to Croom this weekend. I suppose I will continue to take my bike there since it seems that no one has had any complaints but, I will be sort of skeptical about them. Again, thanks for the help everyone.

Title: Re: East Coast Cycles in Davie, Florida Post by: strtrcr06 on June 11, 2006, 02:05:17 PM I use to go there to get parts for my go-ped, but they are expensive! My personal opinion.

They are awesome people. All I have to say about east coast cycles is that yea the new owner is a nice person, everyone else that works there are @$$h0L#s!!!!!!!!!!! They have no idea what they are talking about and I would never trust them with my belongings.... The only thing I bought from them was a gasket and they couldn't even get that right... I asked them politely if they had and base(cylinder) gaskets for a regular sport goped.... They said yea here you go... BLAH BLAH BLAH, When I went to pay I asked the guy if he was sure that was the right one and he said yea, yea.... it is the right one, I then said it looks a little big for a regular go-ped motor, but not compleatly out of proportion.... So I paid the 3.?? and went home and low and behold it was too big and none of the holes line up. That place is ful of idiots!!!!!!! If they can't even get one little 3 dollar gasket right it makes you think!!!! Thats the last time I will ever purchase things from them, I would much rather make the trip to Go-ped King in Dania and have experienced, knowledgable people to deal with.... my .02 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for the people that bring their other more expensive vehicles their, they just work on your bike through compleat trail and error and see if it worked and are a total rip-off. I am ashamed to say that one of my good friends brang his DS-650 their to get his clutch installed without letting me know... It took them a couple of months and they even tried to charged him for the shop manual they had to purchase to work on his quad.... The clutch wasn't adjusted right when he recieved the bike back and thank god we checked because they forgot to put radiator fluid back in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That shop is a joke!, all their products they sell all are crappy no-name brands that look like they will fall apart right when you take it home... Go-ped and E-ton are the only two exceptions their............ The owner is actually the only nice person I have met in that place but I think he doesn't have the knowledge that comes along with owning a shop like that.....
