Title: "Ranger Bob" Post by: Triple_R_Cycle_Ski on January 31, 2005, 05:30:52 PM Well guys this weekend i'm out riding in the forest and I going back to my truck and out comes "Ranger Bob" and stops me tell me that riding down the side of Hwy 455 is against the law I was about 20 to 30 feet off the side of the road where the trail is rode in. He tells me that he could give me many tickets from no tag to headlights and so on ,then he could take me to jail for all the laws that i'm breaking . .when I got back to my truck I called one of my Police buddies on the way home and asked him about the law on this and he said that there is a guide line that ever police department follows but 20 + feet or more is fine.
So I call my other "Buddy" and he tells me that "Ranger Bob" is only a "volunteer" and that he can't give any tickets or hold anybody until the "Real Ranger" gets there is that his job is only to ride around and let people know the laws of the land Well if any one has even had any problem with this guy let me know or if anyone can show me the laws about this let me know that too Bobby Title: Re: "Ranger Bob" Post by: o4250 on January 31, 2005, 05:37:15 PM Im no positive where you where but when I went to lake delancy some ranger flipped out on This 18 year old kid because he rode his fourwheeler to the bathroom at like 5 mph with no helmet on :-X

(I had not) But we talked for a little bit. He Said that most everything east af 455 (Alexander springs road) is going to be closed. They are going to put a 7 mile loop in that is one direction only and only one parking area. Also all the area going to the St Johns River is going to be closed down if it isn't already. So watch where you ride.

The 8 miles of powerline one way will put a hurtin on ya! Then hit the trails. Trying to train for the 6 hrs race in Macon Ga in march. Want to ride the + 30 class but need to find 2 more people.
