This is a FAMILY WEEKEND so Adults are $30.00 and CHILDREN will be $5.00
for the whole weekend! That includes camping, riding and concert!!!

why would you put such a big conert like that on on a friday ?????? people work on friday.....

 :) :) I know they do, and we are sorry, but that is the only date Jason has on a weekend available until next year. The only reason we even were able to get him then, is because he will be in Florida that weekend.
We have the concert starting at 8:00pm but Jason will NOT GO ON STAGE UNTILL 10:00pm. We are hoping that will give everyone a chance to get here! Hope you can make it!

Nice.  Didn't realize all that.  Very cool Patti.  See y'all out there for sure.  Sounds like another big group of us will be there.

nice...since we have people from atvflorida and floridaatv, i think in all fairness, if an area to be roped off, it should be roped off for both sites, not just one...
find a big enough area so it can handle allot of people, but all in all a quiet area for those that want quitness, but still be in the same general camping area. that way everyone can be accomodated.. since we all like to ride there.

Both groups are welcome to camp where ever they want to. We just need to know a head of time. They need to send some one to start the camp like the last time every one came. Mark, suggested a place but they wanted to be closer to the action. It is  up to all of you. Just remember, I know that most of you don't, but if you know someone who doe's. There is "NO" CAMPING ON THE MUD HOLE ANYMORE!

not to sound dumb, but whats an atv bog strip..

Brett, Patty & Mark are nice enough to set us atv'rs up with a seperate mud bog strip to have mud bog / grudge races in... Pretty nice of them I think.

Is this mainly a 4X4 riding area? From the pics i have seen it looks like alot of mud ....Is there any dry places to ride a sport quad ?

Two mud bog runs next to each other so that you can put it on Shortcut and PureLogic...

people bring sport bikes but there is no dry riding...no place to open up since all the dry land is 5mph, which they NEED to enforce better after what i saw during hte mardi Gras weekend!  I watched two kids on a banshee fly around me while i was driivng to my camp in my truck and as soon as they cut in front of me, THEY (doing about 30-40mph) drove right into the front of a pickup that I let turn in front of me to get to his camp.  Unfortunately hte driver of the truck was probably faulted but it was TOTALLy the kids on the bike's fault.  I gave the officers my name as an eye witness, so i don't know what ever happened but one of hte kids on the banshee broke his leg.

so ya, not much place for sport bikes unless you like gettin muddy as hell and stuck :)

I had a question regarding campfires.  I know things are pretty dry, so I was not sure if there would be fires allowed or not. 

I'm so there !!!  Gotta test out the new mud-lites !!!

you have no idea how much I want to go but I got to get the travel trailer ready to go to rr in several weeks. It will not get done on its own and my next 2 weekends are filled.  i am shooting for he adult weekend ;D

Well, you have to go by my house to get down there.  You can come over Thursday and hang w/ Freak and I then share the ride down.  Up to you if you want to work on a camp that will be there in 4 weeks.  But the Aldean concert won't be back atleast for another year.  And that's if he's not too big and can still  be afforded.

Besides who am I going to share the hootch with.

Hey Yunt, are you still planning on meeting Moose in Ocala Friday morning. If so we can meet you there too.

 Where do we want to camp?  THe spot we were in for New Years or in back by the gate?

Paul, Not meeting Moose because he needs to get his son first. I am gonna try and leave my house around 9am if everyone shows up by then. MuddFreak, I think everyone is camping in the back by the fence. I have not decided if we are gonna be at the kiddy area but will probably be close to it. Or do two wagon wheels. One for the adult with no kids and one with kids but have them next to each other.

I like the 2 wagon wheel idea.  So parents can be near their kids and still be w/ the adults.  And just keep the kids out of our wagon wheel.  Of course it doesn't usually get really crazy but atleast we could all be together.

I'll be there between 9-10 and will likely find a spot w/ freak.  Call us when you get there so we can come up and guide you to camp.  I think we are going to get a large sheet and spray paint the sites on it and hang it b/w the trucks or off of freaks hauler.

I'm in!!!!!!!

SWEEEEEETTTTT!!  Are we gonna see you w/ the adults or the kids camp?

Is there a band lined up for Saturday??

Ok were going to be setting up camp in the back on the left hand side by the (gate where the trail rides start).  There will be a sheet with atvforida/FloridaATV painted on it hanging from either my hauler or between the trucks (QT's and mine).  

We were thinking the people with kids can camp on the right hand side of the road so were still close.  As the kiddie area is for smaller kids like 8 YO and younger.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Bushwaker the VIP gate in New to us also, Pretty much follow any of the roads to the back of the park you will see a earth bridge type of deal cross that go straight and look to your left.  Give me a call when you get through the gate.  I PM'd you my number.

I called and if I remember right, when you go down the entrance road there will be two signs.
One for VIP tickets and EMC, Fire Dept, etc. will go to the left entrance, and all cash payers to the right entrance. I was told there will be signs, so it should be no problem.

Anyone getting tickets on line, you can pay for the kids when you get to the gate.

I will try my phone T-mobile usually dont work around lake.I will be in a 01 quad cab super duty ford w/35" & weekend warrior in tow... 8)

But you guy's DON'T have it RIGHT for the VIP and GENERAL ADMISSION GATES!!!

If you purchase your tickets on line or are lucky enough to win them with one of the radio stations or buy them at ELI'S Western Wear in Okeechobee YOU ARE A VIP and can come in the VIP EXPRESS TICKET LANE  even if you have a camper or are pulling a trailer! If you have a child 12 yrs or younger with you and you purchased your VIP ticket or got it through one of the other ways I mentioned then you just pay the $5.00's for them AT THE VIP TICKET BOOTH if by chance some one in your party  hasn't bought their ticket yet, but you have YOUR RECEIPT, they can pay at the VIP TICKET BOOTH AS WELL!
If you do not have a VIP ticket or RECEIPT for an ON SALE PURCHASE then you have to go to the GENERAL ADMISSION GATE and WAIT IN LINE!! We do have 4 lanes now at the general admission gate so it should not be too bad. Just remember everyone is trying to come in at the same time, because the CONCERT IS ON FRIDAY!!! We don't have 2 days to get everyone in the park. Just get ready for "ANOTHER EXTREME EVENT"!!!!

The wife and i have been considering loading up the hauler and makeeing the trip from northport.....Only reason for considering is we only have sport bikes but would enjoy a weekend away camping and meeting new people.....WHAT DO U ALL THINK IS IT WORTH THE TRIP WITH SPORT BIKES??????GEORGE

George why not????  Its a weekend away and having fun with a group of great people.  There are many sport quads out there, most stay on the dirt roads, but some of the more adventurous ones actually play in the mud with them.  So come on out and join the party

Went to load my quad this AM and found a good oil leak.  Fortunately, no patients this afternoon.  It will be heading to orlando in an hour or 2 for repair.

Looks like I'll be riding blizatch the next few weeks.  Leaving at 630am tomorrow see y'all out there.

wheres the oil leak coming from?  whatcha takin it to orlando to have it fixed for.

     From what QT told me the leak is coming from the rear of the engine, sounds like possibly a rear main, there is the bellow the protects the drive shaft before it goes through the swing arm.

     Also the quad needs to have the cylinder punched and a +1 piston and rings installed as she is burning oil.

I woud have made it myself, just would have taken longer.    :)  Waiting for a good long ride to see if the jets worked, ran NP for about and hour or 2 at 20mph and had no issues.  SO I'm hopeful....

I believe last time it was the Yamaha towing the Honda home.  All I can say is not bad for the fact I bought it 2 yrs old then rode the hell out of it for 4 years w/ only maintenance work.  It was bound to happen that she'd need some TLC.

Take 710 or Beeline west to Highway 70 make left go to main intersection of town you will see a little park and Walgreen, CVS Pharmacy and Chamber of commerce on the 4 corners turn left at that light the road is PARROTT AVENUE go south through the town of Okeechobee about 5 miles. You will come to a Y in the road turn right at the Y that is Highway 78 go west on 78 11 1/2 miles L-CROSS EXTREME EVENTS is on the Right side of the road. If you get lost anyone can tell you where it is!

I always take southertn out to the road that goes to canal point and turn right. go to canal point and follow that road around to the north. you will be along the lake. go north through okeechobee and keep going through buckhead ridge. l-cross is about 6 or 7 miles further on the right. Hope you have not left yet. Have fun.

I just got back from l-cross. This was my first time and I have to say that was the most fun I have ever had. That is a great thing the Pierces are doing out there. Nextime I will be there with my grizz.

What an awesome time this weekend !  For my first of many to come events I have to say I'm highly impressed.  Impressed with the property and the workers there as well as all of y'all who welcomed me with open arms.  You guys are the BEST !  I can't wait for the next event.

How many cycles  in the washing machine does it take to get all the mud out ?!!!  Think I took half of L-cross back with me between my bike, clothes, and myself !

LOL  GOOD LUCK, usually they are stained and become MUD clothes!!!  Just means you have to go mudding more often.    ;D ;D

What an excellent event.  This by far was the best concert I have ever seen!  Not only was the opening band great Jason Aldean was off the hook!  I was quite impressed with is performance as well as him wearing his wedding ring.  Showed alot of class.

Patty and Mark y'all did it again in true style!  The best mudding parties I ever go to are out there.  Thank you again!  It's awesome being able to ride all night and play in the mudholes.  The swimming hole felt great after being all hot and dirty.  The security was great!  Couldn't go anywhere w/o seeing them.  And they did one hell of a job of removing some guy that was being a jerk! 

I feel bad for the guy that lost his F250 when it fell over the burm!  Made my pain from last month seem like nothing.

Girl, you can call me anything you want !  You've got 2 weeks to come up with some new ones...

Dont get me wrong, the place is great & I am really happy that someone would finally make a place just for us riders.  For the most part, the people were great, but there were also a lot of inconsiderate riders.  Trust me I like to have fun just like the next person, but it is one thing if you want to hurt yourself, its another when you show no consideration for others. 

This was our first time, and we have a 7 year old son, who rides his little 90 great and he does very well.  It was not his riding I was worried about, it was the adults that come blasting thru with no caution to kids.  Various times I saw way near close collisions, usually an adult almost running into a child.  Fortunately not mine. 

So guys, please take into respect the little ones.  I get hurt well thats fine, my son gets hurt or you run into my son, then we are going to have a problem.

I was told try coming up when you all don't have special events, is that true.  Because I just don't know if I will bring my son again.  Trust I can't stand alot of rules, but the simple rules that you have, like 5mph thru camp, just are not followed.

Ok here it is.  We've had multiple complaints about having children remain safe out there.  Now let's come up w/ some viable solutions!

One is to enforce the 5mph speed limit.  Ok we all know the security can't be every where all the time.  We all know that those that are going to offend aren't going to do it when security is there.  I don't know about the rest of you but I have followed those speeders and the careless kids back to their camps.  I have let the ppl and parents know what they were doing and that I know who they are and where they can be found.  I continue on with if I see you out doing this again I will call security.  If everyone took an active roll in observing repeat offenders it would be easy to have them removed.  What I have seen is no one wants to get involved for fear of 1.) A fight w/ a drunk, or 2.) It's not their problem and they don't want to get involved.

Another solution:  Have a drinking free zone.  If any alcohol is found w/in that area then the group is immediately removed from the park.  If we combine this area w/ the kids area there should be very little worry about the kids getting hit by drunks.  Again - problem..... how many of the parents would actually camp in this kind of area?  Also - who would chose to enforce it so ppl don't get crazy there?

Another solution:  Have special wrist bands for families with kids.  The only ppl allowed PERIOD into the kiddie area are those w/ the proper color band.  Allow only those ppl to camp near the kiddie track by fencing around the track.  Again - who will enforce this? 

It is expensive for the park to devote a security guard to one area all weekend when they need help handling other situations.  So an option would be to sign up for shifts to cover it yourselves.  But no one wants to work on the weekend so that won't cut it.  Or to raise the price for ppl with families with children to include the cost of 1 security guard to stand over and non-stop patrol and keep watch over that area for the weekend.

Now does anyone else have any other solutions?  Everyone is quick to point out the problem but no so quick to come up w/ realistic solutions.  Throw out your options and how they might and might not work.  Atleast it is a move in a positive direction of change rather than a negative direction of complaints.

 ;D ;D Thanks to all of you for comming out and having yet "ANOTHER EXTREME EVENT"  with us! I think this was by far the BEST event we have had even though it was not the largest. We think we have the Family with small children problem solved. We are going to move it further back so it is not as accessible to the Idiots that want to come in and tear it up.
There is a very nice area further back with alot of trees and a place to have a nice size bog JUST FOR KIDS!!! I think it will be very nice for the parents to have some shade for themselves while watching their children play!
We won't be having any BIG NAME entertainers in for the summer due to rainy season and hurricanes, that alone will bring the #'s down at the park. The ones that are regulars will be here and they for the most part DO FOLLOW THE RULES!! If you have anymore suggestions please post. Hope to see you ADULTS in 2 WEEKS for SPRING BREAK GONE WILD CONTINUES!

Seriously had a blast! Feel really bad for the F-250 in the ditch. Six months ago i sunk my little sidekick buggy. Fuel injection systems not the best for submerging the electronics. If it wasn't dangerous, it wouldn't be nearly as fun would it? I Rode my Polaris this time and kept my kid onboard. All Those huge buggies and trucks any parent with common sense can call that one on there own. Thanks to the owners for letting us ride at night thats when I had the most fun. See Ya"ll next time!

 ;D We don't have a problem with banning sod pallets, less work for us! We drag with a magnet after events, you must have driven over a fresh camp that had used them.

I agree w/GT314, I did make comments to those that would come blasting by, but you do really worry about saying something to the wrong person and then you have even a bigger problem. 

I do like the idea of having children's mud area in the back, for it was a lot less congested back there, for that is where we stayed.  My suggestion would be posting for riders say 12 and under only, if anyone over 12 is caught riding in there they lose their armband and can't ride for the rest of the weekend.  If it is a serious violation and/or more than once, they could be band for say a month.  Something to make them take it seriously.  I also think that the parents should not just drop their kids off at the area for free baby sitting service either.  Another words, a parent must be with the child.  If security comes up and finds a child with no parent, then the child is taken back to the parent's camp and warned.  And yes, it is also up to the other parents to report any abuse of that rule.  I think that is a really GREAT Idea, therefore, it does not affect anyone riding up front, just those who are concerned for a childs safety.  I also think that the parent should be allowed in the child mud area if the child gets stuck, but that's really it. 

One finall thought regarding the kids, any child under 12 must have a helmet.  Say way to many kids out there w/out helmets. 

I appreciate the feedback and I am glad that it was taken notice.  Trust me I know too many rules makes a place bad, but none gets crazy.  We used to ride @Peace River Camp Ground alot, but the rules just got out of control.  Like no night rides, which I think, if I can stay up (haha), are the best. 

Patti, atleast you take these issues into consideration and you do offer up solutions.  I understand that it's a work in progress, so thank you.  I look forward to coming up again once the kid area is done.  So if you could just post that at some point so we will know.  Thanks again...

You've got some really good ideas there cheropride.  I like seeing everyone come up with ideas.  Atleast that way we have some options of how to look at things and make things work.
