Post by: aftrmath99 on March 19, 2006, 10:46:10 AM one of the best riding spots in our town is now closed. the reason they gave was the amount of trash and crap being left by kids and riders and 4 wheel drive trucks throwing their trsh and junk on the trails.it became very dangerous to ride due to the amount of stuff left on the trails. there was actually three totally burned cars left right in the middle of a major trail. they even burned a huge boat! the place became a haven for kids out partying in the middle of the night.beer cans stacked higher than a truck.the 4 wheel drive trucks made ruts so bad that you couldnt even drive down into the spot to unload ur bikes and 4 wheelers without having a 4 wheel drive truck.then the sherriffs started going there three or four times every morning and kicking everyone out.finally they started giving out tickets just for being there.im amazed at the stupidity of people. even dogs dont crap where they sleep. we even got twenty people to go there one saturday to pick up trash.we got four truckloads of nothing but bottles and cans.we pulled the burned out cars to the side so the trails were accesible. we did all this and the very next weekend it looked almost as bad as when we started :(!now everything is gated off and you will get a tresspassing ticket if you go on the property >:(.the sherriffs are using four wheelers to patrol even the most remote trails.now if you want to ride you have to go to the county line racetrack and pay 15 dollars a bike and ride where its so packed that it isnt even any fun. they dont respect 4 wheelers and if you arent a pro rider, they will run you down.sometimes i feel like im just in the way of all the awesome riders.(and im a pretty good rider)they are doing 40 ft tabletops and will literally jump right over ur head if ur to slow or dont jump high enough.sometimes i just like to putter and thats just not possible there.please remeber to take ur trash with you when you go!!it really makes a difference when it comes to law enforcement and the fight AGAINST riding.

Why are people such a$$holes whn they can clean up their crap. I got brand new $50 tire,1ST RIDE, and some D!!k threw nails all over the ground and we picked them up......... It is ridiculous the amount of people that actually go there and then to see all this trash you would think they would pick up after themselves so they could continue riding there. I do know that allot of it comes from partying kids but i guess there is nothing we can really do about that just make sure you pick up your own stuff.
