The sand track at Hardrock was easy to ride, and when you fall it doesnt hurt like it does on hard pack. As for an easy track, Pax trax was 99% tables, you might like it there. Seminole is very quad friendly, and has other lanes running along side of the difficult sections if you are not ready to go through them yet!

Quick Track in Lakeland is a good starter level. My bf was out there the weekend before our bikes were stolen and it looks awesome, and they have a trail scramble too.
He took video and there were LOADS of quads there.

The track is in bunnell.  South west of St. Augustine.

Yes it is sand but with a mixture of saw chips.  Very nice track.  Most tracks in FL are sand so youll have to learn how to ride them.  Bakes you a better rider for the other tracks.

ill pass on sand  only tires i have hook up good on hardpack not that great  in the loose stuff  i knwo that for a fast.  and im not buying any tires anytime soon. and i don't have to learn to ride sand mx tracks cause im not going to be a pro at mx. if i wana ride a  good track ill just load up for a trip back home

What tires do you have?  No need to get new tires just change air pressure.

kenda claws trust me  they  do not do good in soft stuff i have to change the pressure on hard pack  last tiem i went home the track was very dusty and i had issues with traction  but i didn't mess with  the pressure much either cause they hooked up good enugh  plus i  just don't liek the ide of havin soem hard pack on some faces im not that great  at it  and  i want go pro  so  im being picky on what  i ride cause thats what i feel comfortable with and its not a  soft soil faced jump heck i hated hardrock intermidiate track and didn't care to much for the sand course  i liked the grand prix  course and hated there trails i wouldn't mind finding  some good trails  and i know the national forest has them just aint goin out there by myself. and im hopin soem  folks from back home  come down and go to it they are  talkin about a group trip herer so well see

kenda claws do good every where that is what i have !!!  there tread design is made to be switch around for hard or soft terrian

on kendas when your thread pattern is going this way it is for soft terrian!  (look at the rears not the fronts)

all u have to do is turn them around....and there sould be arrows on the side walls of the tires to help you out on with direction for wich terrian

no actually you get more grip that way. lots of people run them like that ;)

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: MOTOCROSS MAVERICK on April 21, 2006, 05:20:47 PM
then how come you dont run them that way?

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: 53yfz450 on April 21, 2006, 05:22:19 PM
too lazy too turn them around. and i really dont think it makes that big of a difference

either i got a older tread p[attern or not the same thign ill go look thought they were claws my memory is failing. but the bottom line is  i don't wana ride a soft pack mx track im already squirley enough on hardpacked  lol

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: 53yfz450 on April 22, 2006, 07:54:07 PM
then what kind are you going to ride on. ???

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: floydamus on April 22, 2006, 11:47:58 PM
ill go back home to ride mx that what soemoen needs to fork out soemmoney to get a  d**n nice mx track here with hard pack. i aitn into it that much to learn to ride sand tracks.   at this point its not been riden  in abotu a month and a half im  just abotu ready to riddin anywhere  somethin it ticks me off really just thinkin about it. hardrocks  intermidiate would be great if they would  fix the d**n thing and i do have kenda klaws xtf or soem sh*t liek that  but they are different tread p[attern than the ones in the picture

sand mts mx track is made mostly of clay and hard packed. I'm from up north to and no what you mean riding sandy ruted out tracks is alot diffrent.

Post by: LostCause on April 23, 2006, 08:08:13 AM
Ok, I see your point about a soft track like the one at Hardrock.  But just because you dont like that track doesn't meen you will not like others.  The jump faces and landings at Pax are really good.  They dont get messed up.

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: floydamus on April 23, 2006, 04:26:10 PM
how does a soft pack face no get messed up theres no way that it wont get rutted period. i just don't liek soft pack. rather it be  hard  or semi hard atleast. liek i said the intermidiate track at hardrock is more my speed if they would fix all the landings. and number 74 what woudl you rate the difficulty of that track seems liek  ive seen pics and look liek its for the more advance. im just lookin for some easy track  with  some jumps  to make a boy go weeeeeeee

Title: Re: mx tracks
Post by: 53yfz450 on April 23, 2006, 05:33:56 PM
it all depends on how the track get mantained. if they just run over it with a box plate it will get rutted up after the 1st practice. if they pack down the faces it will take awhile before it gets messed up.

sand mt is abit more difficult then some tracks, but if you want to get away from the sandy tracks its really your only choice. it seems all the more beginer tracks that have smaller jumps are sandy like sunshine, and bartow. but heres sand mts site sandmountainspeedway.com hope it helps.

i just don't  care for sand mx tracks not my thing ill just nto ride  mx till i got  back to nc on trips i  don't mind semi  but im not ridin in crap liek hardrock or soemthign that is sand and saw dust ive been around enough saw dust to kno wthat  that  crap stays soft even when wet. so na if i can't find a semi  packed track of soem sort then  ill just nto ride mx ill start doin mostly trail riddin with it which kinda blows but o well. cause im not going  pro and im not advanced  at it  nor do i care to do either so why should i learn to ride a whole different thing  and i can't even find a track that  fits my ridin ability or my style  but im goign to try a few places  just to try it if not then ill hang up mx cept on trips home
