Title: Lake County Deputies Shot, 1 killed near ONF Post by: Smoknbanshee on February 09, 2005, 08:40:34 AM This morning there has been a shooting near 42 and 44 in deland area. Three Lake County Deputies have been shot. The suspect is armed and dangerous and on foot in the ONF. If you are planning on riding in this area, please be advised until this guy is apprehended. I will give updates tonight, but here are a few news links for it. Also, if you are driving in this area becareful, most of the roads are blocked off though.

Basic location would be near the royal trails area, if anyone is familiar with the area. I agree, blessings go out to the law enforcement family and officers family. The other two officers are not fatally injured. I will let you guys know the woods are VERY VERY dense where the suspect is believed to be.

I work in that Area and was on lock down all day today. I have Family and many friends that work at the Lake County Sherriffs Dept. And Hubby is a former Law Enforcement Officer so our prayers definatly go out the Deputy's Families. and also to the Brothers and Sisters of the sherrifs Dept.

I definitely have my thoughts with the deputy's family and the other members of that dept. I'm currently going to school to be a law enforcement officer and things like this enrage me. If the prisoners dont think he is cute I bet the guards will enjoy his time with them. :o |
