Title: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on March 13, 2006, 07:49:14 PM i am talking with immokalee raceway right now about running a class for us on saturdays once a month. the first race will be next month, i will know the date this week. i am trying to get a season started for this year and some kind of winnings for you ever finishes first in the points. give me some feed back if you all have some ideas. i was thinking maybe a cheetah motor for the points winner. it will be heads up racing with a pro tree. the track record will be up for grabs on the first night of racing.

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: dirty1 on March 17, 2006, 05:19:28 PM the fastest quad out there is a custom 250r style fram from lonestar with a snow mobile motor in it......

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: tribal banshee on March 19, 2006, 12:58:02 AM I want to see some time slips ;) I know that when that chuppa cabra is running it is very hard to beat. Have seen it race with my own eyes. That puppy flies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on March 19, 2006, 06:26:37 AM Yeah it moves down the track quickly. You are talking about a snow mobile motor and a very light titanium chassis which the motor is over 1000 cc. twin cylinder running oxygenated fuel. I know a thing or two about this bike. I have seen it run several times at Immokalee Regional Raceway. Low 6's about 104-108 mph. I think Papa Tribals Banshee 4mil will give it a good run being over geared and under transmissioned.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on March 19, 2006, 08:49:59 AM i think your right matt. you got jayson running in the the 6.40's running out of gear. now he got a six speed with nos. i think now with the right gear he will go in the 5's. hopefully the guys from miami come over and we get some goog racing going on.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: tribal banshee on March 19, 2006, 10:52:03 AM Damn Matt I thought it was a little faster than that ??? The crazy thing about papa's bike is we were running a 1-5 override and Tony said the bike never quit pulling like a monster even way passed the traps and we didn't even have striaght cut gears in the motor. Very wild to run as good as it did. Like I told papa everything had to be matched perfectly. Oh well sometimes I wish he still had that motor!
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on March 19, 2006, 09:35:26 PM I herd that the ChuppaCabra snow mo quad was at Immokalee Regional Raceway Friday night and the best time it ran was 6.10 et in the eighth. I can wait to see a big bore banshee out this thing with half the cc.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on March 22, 2006, 06:31:52 PM i have had alot of calls from guys in miami. yes we will have classes if alot of bikes show up. all racing will be heads up with protree start.

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on April 08, 2006, 07:43:54 PM went to the track last night, and they are really pushing this event. chris rode my bike and it went 6.48 with running out of gear at 3/4 track. it has a 18 up front 37 in the rear. the bike is running lean up top. did some tuning today and a gear change. chris is having a hard time holding on to it right now. he said a few more runs and he will be able to go balls to the wall with it. going back out on friday. i would like to see high 5's

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on April 13, 2006, 10:15:56 PM If you guys do come down for the race the track would like the quads to have a number plate so they can keep track of all the bikes. Like a MX nuber plate at the rear on the grab bar with the last four digits of our social security number if possible.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on April 14, 2006, 10:07:58 PM just came back from the track and there were alot of bikes there tonight. should have a real good turn out on the 29th. good to see alot of people getting ready for the race

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: tribal banshee on April 23, 2006, 09:20:45 AM man that sucks matt. It hasn't rained up here in like 60 days. ??? Definately not scared, but my bike has been in a million pieces since I put my motor in papas frame and went to GA and got a track record. Since then, have not had the drive to put it back together. Too busy playing in the mud with our Grizzlies, but I'll get it back together here one day ;)
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on April 23, 2006, 10:19:41 AM No drive WOW I cant believe that. Hell I would have that bike together in a couple hours. Quit chit chatting on here and get your ass in gear and but her back together so you can come down here next weekend.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: tribal banshee on April 23, 2006, 11:00:37 PM actually a little burnt out, but I'll get it back together soon just have to get back out in the shop and start playing around :)

Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on April 29, 2006, 09:23:01 AM There were some more quads last night to TNT. Jeff's bike went like low 6.0's. I see a 5 second pass on that bike very soon. Today is the big race. Track opens at 2pm so if your coming get here early to get a good parking spot. It is going to get packed at the track tonight.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on April 29, 2006, 09:58:05 AM a 6.04 to be exact. 5's are coming soon. chris had to ease of the gas for split second.
r/t .5046 60 ft 1.4820 330ft 3.8718 e/t 6.0401 mph 105.71 Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on April 30, 2006, 12:38:49 AM Well there was a decent turn out like 18 bike class. There was two 4 mm motors from ACME Racing Tampa Florida that ran against the big dogs and ran great. One a T-Rex and the other a cub. Then the final was two 610 cc motors. Jeff Close's bike with Chris Trunk Riding it and Jason's Willams riding his bike and Jason won. Good Job Jason & Chris. The ACME 4mm cub came in 3rd. Great job John and ACME Racing Team!! The 4mm cubs were all running hard. Jeff's bike ran a 5.97 et. in the second round of elimations. The snow moblie quad ran 5.76et at 115mph but got disqualified due to bike took way too long to get started during first round of eliminations. Nut to clutch was loose, mechanical error. That sux. Hope to see some more next race. There was some 4mm running faster than the bigger motors.
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: Smoknbanshee on April 30, 2006, 02:33:55 AM what times were the 4mm's running? fastest pass of the night was 5.76 from the snowmobile, that is flying....any 4 strokes runnig there? methy, did you run the 250r?
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: methyman on April 30, 2006, 07:51:19 AM 4mm were running 6.17 to 6.60 at 104 -101 mph. I ran friday night at TNT the quickest et ever of 7.47 at 87.91 mph. I ran yesterday at 7.56 at 86mph. There was a wind blowing from the finish line up to the start line. I raced knowing I wasn't going to win just to race and support the sport. I had a great time. There was 3 rounds of qualifying. That snow moblie was the fastest qualifier. The ACME 4 mm cub was #2 qualifier. The ACME racing team races alot at Lakeland Raceway.I gues I am going to have to finally step way up and build a Banshee which Jeff has been saying to me for the longest time. LOL
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on April 30, 2006, 09:41:09 AM well my bike is running hard. the final round chris had jayson three bikes off the line and then it happened, my bike went from 3 to 5. it was all over after that. we will get them next time. chris said he ran out of gear 50ft before the finish line when we ran the 5.92. this bike should 5.80's all day long. have a few thing to change for chris on the bike for next months race. 2nd not bad considering we fought a shifting problem all day. hope to see all you guys again next month, will have date for race soon
Title: Re: 1/8 drags in immokalee florida Post by: 535banshee on May 04, 2006, 07:58:07 PM i will have the date for our next race on friday. will post it then
