Im around, i went camping @ croom this weekend. its been alog time since ive been trail riding it was fun. We should all get together and go sometime. Ill be back in a few weeks im waiting on carbs and pistons....

ware 07 make sure thats not a barb wire fence you riding that might hurt. if all your bikes are broke how did you trail ride

The left piston is pitted, not broke. plus i cant get out of 2nd gear riding with justin.. so its not being "wound up"

    The first two heats the track was super dry and slick, Brian on a Honda 450 (or is it a 500????) took both. Before the Main the track was watered and the race was completely different. I started on the back row behind Tim (Yamaha 450) and followed him through the holeshot to the front and got ahead of Brian. Doug had a problem on the start but for some reason the flagger didn't call a restart. While running hard with Tim I got tangled with a lap bike but managed to eventually get close to Tim again but never could make the pass. I had a blast.
  I am not positive of the results but here's what I think they were...

1st Tim
2nd me
3rd Brian
4th Yellow Yam 450
5th Steven
6th Gary
7th White Raptor
8th Doug

    If these are incorrect someone chime in .

   are there any pro riders at this track. i want to ride the pro class. some of you have fast in your name so just how fast are you or is that just a name. if there are some pros there i will come. bring youre money so i can take it 

we all are fast just come on out and see if you are faster dont worry about the pros come see if you can run with us then worry about the pros. lol I am just messin with you there are no pros out there but we are all kinda fast some faster then others but we are like a big family having a good time come out with us to see how you run

Im new to the whole race thing, I was wondering where I could get more information or the race. I have a 02 Banshee that has alot of mods and bored out to 402cc, would that be ok to race or no? Thanks

   Come on out, it's mostly 4 strokes so you'll do fine ;). Me and Ware and Scott are the only 2 strokes so we could use the support. With the power you have you'll have fun.

Here's to hoping I still have what it takes, I will know after Saturday.

The track is just north of Hardrock on 25A ( Gainesville Rd) in Ocala. From 588 and 40 (dirt road going to Big Scrub) keep going west to Ocala until you get to 301. Go north on 301 then west on 326 then south on 25A.
Practice starts around 6pm, racing at 7pm.

This week a beginner class is forming. This will be good for those who are interested in this type of racing but don't have Hoosiers or Am Racers or don't want to run the open class with 450's, 250r's or Banshee's.
 Compared to MX setting up a bike for flattrack is relatively cheap, usually all you need is tires and a lowering kit. Even just running rear flattrack tires will get it done. Check with some of the guys at the track, they may have some extras for sale. Also, there is a Hoosier Tire rep that runs a Sprint car at the track.

I am interested in trying this out in the near future. I am gonna try to make it up there saturday evening, to chek it out. Sounds and looks like alot of fun. I want to get some kind of idea as far as track ettiquite, rules and regs and all that good stuff. Dont wanna piss anybody off right outta the gate. I f i like it ill, have to set the z monster up for it anyways, so i wouldnt be able to compete any time soon. see ya soon

etiquette rule #1...Move to the top lane if your being lapped....dont race the leader who is passing you... your still last either way..

etiquette rule #2..... if you see a big head guy with a big ol butt on a suz 450 or a guy that talks and looks like Pete from "Oh brother where art thou" on a honda 450.. You must cut these guys off in every corner.. if you dont you WILL be black flagged!  ;)

etiguette rule #3... Congratulate the winner of the race.. many of us are old or fat.. (or a little of both) not only did the winner win the race but he made it through with out a heart attack.. thats enough to get a pat on the back for!  ;D

Thanks for the plug on lapped bikes. Can't say that enough, if you are being lapped hold your line especially in the corners!

i plan on comin this sat.  hope you guys arnt the same from dade city. i drove down and raced them guys once but they arent very fast. im no begginer so i wont be racin with any girls. i can lap anybody so hope yall listin to the other guy. im not fat either.

  Run whatever you class you feel comfortable. If you win out the Beginner class however , you will probably be asked to move up. It sounds like you have the machine that's right for the open class.

Can I sign up for both? I have a modded 250R but I been out of racing for 8 years. The Pro class back then was FAASST. If your setup wasn't just right you got SMOKED.

Ive been riding for 6 years so i guess im semi good. My banshee supposedly was clocked at 114mph but i wasnt there to witness it, its bored out to 402, toomey T5s, Vforce reeds, cool head, removed airbox, k&n filters, bottom end is all aftermarket stuff, afterbarket carbs, razrs in back, full underbody armor, lights and everything cut off. Its not lowered or set up for anything specific. I guess im going to go, this will be my first race. I have a black number plate with white numbers 44, is this acceptable or do i need different colors and an assigned number? Is there a noise limit? Any tips or race etiqitte would be appreciated. Thanks

  No one has before but I don't see why not.  Refer to Scott's comments about getting smoked....setup is probably 75% of your lap time but torque and HP help too! Your plate numbers and colors are fine, they just want us numbered. Etiquette...? Commense sense works good plus there's a drivers meeting prerace or get with one of us , someone while answer your questions, we usually park in a group right near the flag tower. No noise limit, the Sprints are louder than we are.

I was looking at thunderbowls site and it said all riders have to have a racing jacket, does this apply to us? if so what kind of jacket?

pyrice that does not apply to us we wear our riding outfits helmets boots chest protector and normal saftey equipment.
