Title: 400ex front sprocket

well ive added some parts to my ex and now i noticed i get to through the gears very fast and heard going up some teeth in the front sprocket will make the gears last a little longer was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how many teeth to goto

I wouldn't go any further than one tooth up to a 16 tooth.

couldn't u do something to the back sprocket to make the gears last longer too

sure,,,someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the formula is that for every tooth you add on the front it is equal to about 2.5 teeth missing in the back.

so this means you get nearly the same effect from dropping two or three teeth on the rear sprocket as if you added a tooth on the front.
