Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: themensh on January 24, 2006, 10:06:26 PM sorry.....I don't know the cable colors........
but like any other vehicle: short the ignition wires then JUMP the starter. (in a week.......................make an extra set of keys) Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: ppark350se on January 24, 2006, 10:16:20 PM there should be 2 wires running off the ing. switch. just cut them off and connect them. if your gonna ride with it i would just strip them, twist them together, and tape them.
Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: themensh on January 24, 2006, 10:23:46 PM ppark....aren't there more than two wires from the ignition switch?
You can't just twist two together and go........ you twist two together...and then touch two together to turn the starter. But like I said....i do not have a schematic in front of me to tell which color wire is which. (makes me want to go to the dealer tomorrow and have an extra key made up) Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: ppark350se on January 25, 2006, 01:32:49 PM ppark....aren't there more than two wires from the ignition switch? Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: yunt2ride on January 25, 2006, 01:43:04 PM My polaris has 4. The two outside ones are the right ones. I would call the dealer and ask them. I would not take a chance on burning a stator or some module up. Could get expensive.
Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: BCConviber on January 25, 2006, 02:45:03 PM Yes, but on a polaris, the key is pushed or twisted to start the bike. That's why you have four wires. A Grizzly has a seperate push botton for the starter. The key switch is just a master power switch.

Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: badcompanyracing on January 25, 2006, 07:02:03 PM polaris has a push button to start also don't know much about the grizzly does it have a seperate pull or kick start if it does unplug the ign. switch and try to crank it you won't have any lights though i've seen it work on some bikes
Title: Re: grizzly help Post by: bbf on January 28, 2006, 08:58:15 PM i found a easy way just pull the ing switch apart and used a screw driver it works
