Im sure many saw this.
Today at sand mountain, i lined up at the drag strip,
started in 2nd,when i got into 3rd the front lifted, shifted into 4th baike came back down and BAM... tumble, tumble, flip, flip, flip... tire here, tire there...it even knocked my shoes off... really it did...   it seems when i landed the wheelie the right spindle broke. which of course dug into the sand sending me sailing through the air. the bike rolled, rolled,and rolled somemore breaking the left spindel off the bike..  I just bought this new front end kit, A arms, tierods and spindles... made from 4130 chromoly. they went 50ft before breaking..they are supposed to be super light and super strong... until i contact this company and show them the pics ill withhold thier name. But i would like to thank the 15 or so folks who rushed up to me to make sure i was alright.

     Mike Walker was one of the first, i didnt get to thank him then so i would like to thank him now.. I had cobwebs in my head something bad and couldnt seem to get thoughts into words... Thanks to all the folks who came up to offer help. luckly, i had my brother and some friend to help me load in back up..   Im a little sore, my neck,back, legs and sides hurt but ill survive.. here are some pics..

dang sorry to hear about that i recked on the mx track on the step up and my bikes alittle trashed so i left early and didnt see it.

LOL... no... i was racing my 5yo.. thats was really the bad thing... he was freaked out!

Dang Chris, I hope your alright !?!?!. That really SUCKS, after all the money you just spent on that front end !!!, Keep us all posted on how your doing, along with what the "front end company says"

Hey Chris, If there is anything we can do to get you back and running for Hazelhurst, Just say the word !!, we have some parts laying around, or just plain help if you need it !!!!

hey thanks don, i have some stock spindels around here. so if thats all that is messed up i should be OK. I cant belive my pipes didnt get damaged!

 Damn!!!!!!!!!!! Man Frank and I were playing at the track i made today and were saying pretty much the same thing that happened to you. Sorry to here. Hope your alright  we can always put another bike together! These bikes have so much power you have to double check everything and then check again even though you had no clue about the spindles I've been looking at even stupid stuff like carter keys in the tie rod ends. We're going to fast to quick for something to go wrong! Hope your alright ???

well i will tell you guys this, the porting that was done on this cylinder has made all the difference in the world from the way it was before. although i havent shifted from 4th yet... >:( its more stout that it used to be..
Im going to try and make it to GA.. right now im pretty tender all over...

I'd go with a thicker spindles whats a pound or two, Its not worth it. You problably could of used those couple of pounds keeping the front end down lol; least you were on soft sand picture if that was on clay!

Dang it man, Just glad to hear your ok Chris. Bike can always be fixed. Get your self to feeling better. Looks to me like the manufacturer of the spindles has some explaining to do..  What Lupo said is true. I find myself checking everything now before I or anyone else race's my bike. You never know. Take care Bro! If I can be of any help let me know..  PS did you have Nate do some more port work?

hey chris i am glad to see you are ok. call jeff at metaltech he has some great spindles that are light weight but wont kill you. have been running his stuff along time. makes great swingarms and front ends for a good price. glad to see you are alright. let us know who made them so no one will get hurt again. i ate sh*t one time and it riped my shoes off too. its wild how it does that

You know, I saw the whole wreck. Its pretty bad when you have to spend that much money on a fast nice looking quad, then flip it, and break that much stuff, just to still get beat by the 5yo !!!! ;)

As for coming to help, no problem. Glad your ok! That  wreck looked a lot worse than you ended up. If you have any problems getting that company to fix what broke, give me a call. I can give the owner of the company a call and help you out.

Chris you were talking about the weather up in GA. HEHEHE well I just looked again and now it's supposed to be perfect. ??? Damn  weather man >:( partly cloudy 72degrees and around 65 at night so who the hell knows. If it turns out it will be perfect, bikes will be running strong. Hope you can still make it ???

Well i checked over everything today and all seems well..  I didnt look at the flanges.. ill do that tomorrow. The bike fired up on the first kick and seemed to run ok. ive decided to put the stock A arms back on.. I guess you can say im a little spooked now... I have one side of the A arms swapped so far.  Tomorrow ill do the other side.  Once i get it washed i can take a better look at the cylinders ETC. There is sand  EVERYWHERE! i think from the fuel going everywhere it made the sand stick like glue.

   Im doing better today. i have some nice brusies on my inner thighs and my lower back is killing me. if the weather is good ill be in HAZ.

i am feeling the spooked part chris...ya definetly need to at least be in hazelhurst and take a pass or two to get that out of ya now....the longer you wait the worst it is going to get...

that right there just lets you know how fast something can go all wrong :(. Chris that wheelie bar must have worked too good to slam you back down. need to lower your rear a little, give a little less bite. I would put your stock ones back on too at least your spindles. You know those aren't going to break.

Good to hear your feeling somewhat better anyway !!, When I had surgery on my hand, ALEVE worked better than the class 3 narcotics they gave me. You might want to try that, It will also help keep the inflamation down-in turn LESS PAIN !!!!!

papa, i e-mailed da_mtg_man today and C&R mudsports got banned and several other IP addresses got mixed in with it.  All is straight now, so you are good to go...

    I dont think you understand... i dont want new spindles..Im not
risking my life again.. i want a refund. My lesson was learned the
first time.. Im tring to make this easy. Im not asking you to pay for
right side shear pipe, YOUR Tie rods (one is bent the other is broke),
the top right A arms heim joint, or my back and leg pains not to
mention my 5yo son witnessed the whole thing. I sent you pics as
proof, once a refund is received, ill send you the parts for your
inspection. Ill give you the heads up, im not going to wait weeks or
even days to settle this with you. Im not being nasty, its just
rumored that you like to procrastinate on things..

some of the info i had to ****.    If he is going to be that cold... I will take the next step...    Im still withholding the company name until i hear back..

Chris I hate to say this, but here we come Sand Slingers......It doesn't look like this is going to be resolved in a quick fashion.  What ever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE.  I think everyone that starts a business in the US should be required to go to some kind of certified CUSTOMER SERVICE training.  Burns my a$$ everytime I hear of something like this. 

For instance, Go to lowe's and return stuff all day long, go to home depot and it takes an act of congress to return stuff.  Lesson, F&*$ HOME DEPOT...

well im waiting to see what he says, are my emails clear and to the point? i tried being nice but that didnt work.. but i dont want to burn any bridges legally... i dont want anything to make me look bad if this went to court..
All im asking is the 200.00 for the spindels... not the 500.00 i paid for the whole kit... or for that matter all my busted parts.. what bothers me is i just has the whole bike powdercoated and now its full of chips...

pretty clear to me...but i am pretty literate too....i am just one proud man that cut didn't buy them for his bike....i don't have as much cushion as you do in my body....and i hate the taste of sand...

called and told me those spindles were made for a NON-struted front end. (now they tell me) He said he would make me new everything free of charge....

It may just be me but wouldnt there be more stress on the spindle with a solid mounted front end? The shock should take some of the load off of the spindle when landing and stuff shouldnt it?

I don`t know which one this is Travis???, Daniel ??, or Ronnie???. But thats exactly What I was thinking when I read that also !!!

running in soft sand would reduce the amount of force applied to the spindle also.  just imagine how much force would of been applied if you were running on asphalt....i am confused as you guys are....

the only thing that i can think of is that a strut will not allow the lower a-arm to move, thus the force on the spindle would be applied in the same direction constantly.  if the lower a- arm moved then it would change the position of force on the lower part of the spindle.  but if you used adjustable struts it would do the same thing.  weird.  i am not expert, just a dumb jockey.

okay, i can stop racking my brain with the laws of physics on this one.....

lol, this is daniel, and that clears a lot up.  I was thinking, if they dont trust their spindles with shocks then there is no way I would run one with struts.

for the 1 1/2  pounds you save I would def. put the stock back on. You know those won't break!

I rode by and stoped but their was like 20 guys around you so I hope your ok ;)
