If you were there last year you might remember that it rained 10 inches the night before the concert and our cousins culvert got washed out so we got his 20 inches as well, so needless to say we were extremely flooded in the back 400 acres that's why it was so crowded.  Since that event last year we built all new roads and placed alot of new culverts and have pumps we are ready for it this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We can't wait.  We
will be selling tickets in advance, you know we will sell out so don't wait till that day to buy them.  Check the web site to see when and where we will be selling advance tickets. It is not posted yet but will be with in the next week.

Thanks,

Patti Pearce
TRULY ANOTHER EXTREME EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry.... but that was the worst concert I have ever been too :o
David Allan Coe is the "BIGGEST RACIEST PIG"!! I have ever seen, won't see me there :( He SUCKS! and I know a lot of rednecks that act like fools.

I love music of all kinds, but I would not call that music  >:(

My 2 cents

You know I wasn't going to reply , but I have to in defense of David Allan Coe as well as L-Cross Extreme Events, the fact is............

He is the complete opposite of what you see, we spent alot of time talking to him when he was here last year and he is the nicest guy you could ever meet.  As for some of the songs he writes and sings, it's what ever sells records. Just like actors play parts of murderers and really bad people it's our fault, cause that's what sell's tickets at the box office!
He even has a clause in his "rider" which is the things we have to do for him and his band, that say's we can not deny any one entrance to his concerts no matter who they are, such as people of color, race or gender.
He also is a health freak and does not even drink, the Jack Daniels liquor bottle on stage is just a prop!  He told us if he knew he was going to live this long he would have taken better care of him self. He has seen it all and done it all! So, just come with an open mind and enjoy the great party.
As for the songs that he has written and sang himself, he has over 50 #1 hits maybe you don't know they were him.
Just a little bit of fact for everyones information.

Are there rules about riding at night at Lcross?

Title: Re: DAVID A. COE CONCERT @L-CROSS ROLL CALL

Can ride as late as you want as long as you don't have a loud pipe on your quad.

Sport quads....you can ride them there any time.  I've seen some play in the mud w/ them.  There are a few trails but you WON'T be able to open it up.  You can cruise around and hang out and meet ppl though.

Well I got my tickets yesterday. So I think we will be there. If there is no designated camp site then all  campers unite under the tree on the right , before the fence, right past the bridge thingy in the back. I will be getting there sometime Friday afternoon and hopefully can hold this spot for us. Hell yah!

Also, if you can't make it on Friday you better be there by 7 am on Saturday if you want to get into the main gate with your truck or car. last year they did not let anyone into the main area with trucks or cars after like 8 am becuase of the amount of people and trucks already there. I had Custom rope off a 5 by 5 ft. spot for a tent and my truck and got lucky. They natives were fixing to take that spot he reserved for me. I am telling ya, the place will be a complete zoo by noon saturday.

I will try to tape off that area as big as I can. The area I am talking about is on the way to the group ride fence in the back. Right before you go through the first gate without a door, just passed the small mudhole, on the right. Usually a port0let there and a fairly big tree. Nice corner lot. barbed wire on two sides.

I will be leaving sometime friday QT will probaly carpool with me, if we cant rope off a section then we can just park with lots of room between the vehicles.  My truck and trailer will take up atleast a 50ft long area.

Kevin,

Thats cool, it will save me a trip up to Snootysota, and then back across to okee.  Either way one of us will get QT out there.

Save me a spot, I'm flying back in and land around 5:30pm, should be on the road to L-cross by 630ish and there by 9pm.  Teh trailer is already loaded and wet, ready to roll.

Tasha good to hear you are going to make it.  I should be picking up the Dodge on Friday.  There will be no more muddin' the daily driver.  Transmission has been rebuilt and the whole thing detailed.  We'll have to buddy up on a quad w/ our beads this time.  Tasha you know what I mean....HAHA ;D

Kevin, thanks for the ride offer.  Click me and let me know what time to be ready to go.  I'll see what I can do to get a ride down to your place since it's closer.  Erica thanks for letting him come play this weekend.  Hope to get you out there too one of these days.

:) By the way, for any of you who live near the Okeechobee area, you can still buy the $25.00 advance tickets at ELI'S western wear in Okeechobee
on highway 70. They will sell them until Thursday March 16th, 5:00pm.
Mark and the boys are building 1/2 a mile of fence so we can have an additional 100 acres of camping for this event. We will have tickets at the gate for the regular gate fee of $30.00. With the additional camping
area I'm sure we will not sell out and have plenty of room for everyone!!

See you all at the concert!

Ennie,

I would change the sparkplugs, drain the fuel and replace with new, drain the Carb fuel bowl.  Make sure the fuel is turned on (stupid I know but I have forgotten it before).  Also check fuses, and hook a battery charger up to the battery to make sure its fully charged even if its new.

Thanks for the suggestions its my first bike (I've had it for awhile but most of the time it's been broke) so I'm learning as I go along. Hopefully it helps and the bike will fire up or I think I'm going to cry. I've done so much to it in the last couple of days, spent way to much money, WHY CAN'T IT JUST WORK! Agh, guess if it doesn't then it's back to the drawing board and pockets.

Way too excited!  In roughly 24 hrs I should be out there.  Bringing the Sunkist mixture that garym brought last event.  Also bringing tequila shooters.  Got to start Tosha's bday party right!  Sorry Tosha I'm going to have to dissapoint you in that Dude Magnet won't be heading out for a mud run.  Wilburzbro has a green dodge and there's another mudder so you may get to go w/ them.

What time is the Friday group getting there? I should be there by 3 at the latest.

Mike, I new you were kidding w/ me.  Believe it or not I can still take a joke. hahaha!

Ennie, if you bring your quad broken you will be in good hands.  Freak has helped me and taught me how to fix mine too many times to remember.  Also, my other coach Muddbuggy will be there.  Plenty of knowledge and know how out there.  Only problem might be if parts are needed.  Let's think positive and get ennie's quad running!

Who's bringing green beer?  Remember it's St. Patty's day Friday.  Let's do this w/ a different twist.  Wear your greenie or show me that weenie.  Just kidding.  Can't wait to see y'all again wilburz and bro.  It's been way to long.

This is the 'U boat captain' signing off.

This poop of having to wait on a plane to take me home SUCKS!!!!!  I'm trying to get my Manager to allow me to to try and catch an earlier flight but don't think its gonna happen.    :'(

I land at approx 530 and will be out there ASAP.

Not a problem.  Just remember payback is a blizatch.  Freak, Zin, and myself are known to stay up ALL night long from time to time.  I think that would mean the odds for you getting any sleep on Saturday night would be slim to none.

Mark and Patti usually set aside an area for us that is marked ATVflorida and FloridaATV camping.  When you get to the gate ask them where this camping area is and they should know.  If not give someone a call and they'll meet you so you can come camp w/ us.  My number is 941-915-7731.

We have 5 haulers or RV's that I have counted.  Ask at the gate where the atvflorida / floridaatv camping area is so we are all together.  Wilburz that spot where you usually camp will not be large enough for everyone to stay.  Also, for those in haulers the goal is to create a round up and put our generators on the outside and the tents on the inside so they don't have to listen to us.

I have 4 more patients then I'm heading to buggy's to go.  Count down time!  Y'all have my number if ya need it.  Tosha when are you getting there?  Just making sure I have a ride to pick up my truck before they close.  See y'all out there.

Zin I hope you got those icky pants cleaned up.  Nice seeing you again you crazy motha!  Tasha thanks for the ride to pick up my truck!

Had a great time. next time we need to post a signin sheet up front with camp locations on it. Wanted to meet enniehall and some others but did not. place was packed. good seing qt, freek and brett and tasha and some others. been couging up dust balls all day. place was packed.

L-cross has some logistic issues to work out. How could they not see that one car gate in the back was not big enought. They should have forseen that and brought in shellrock and made it a double wide. Almost unaceptable. The least they could have done was cut the barbed wire and widen it a little. The wait for DAC sucked big ones. Dude did not even show up to play until almost 11.

anyways. all in all it was sweet.

I want to take this opportunity to thank those who donated to MDA via firefighters in Indiantown on their way to L-cross.  I know a lot of you will be reading this after you get home.  I was unfortunate not to get the time off work to hang out and get muddy with you all, but I was fortunate and honored to meet a LOT of you Saturday morning while myself and my crew were out collecting donations for such a great cause.  You guys/gals are the BEST !!  Just so you know, Friday's crew collected over $1200, my crew collected over $1600 on Saturday and we've still got today to go !  I look forward to riding with you all in the near future.  By the way, I did put in for May 5th so I'll see y'all then if not in April.  Thanks again !!!

i'm with wilburz...

the driving situations SUCKED.  Could have been run ALOT better.  It seemed like they let one side run through for an hour and then let the other side drive through.  Definetly need to widen the gates to and fro camp.  I would have left my truck out in the mud if my friend didn't get his fuel pump, fuel cell and demon carb stolen last time he left it out there.

Other than that, i had a graet time!! Sunday was the best...died down quite a bit and we were able to just cruise teh mud.

Suggestion: For those WITHOUT toys, don't come in the back.  Make them park out in the front somewhere before the gates or something.  This allows people with toys to get to and fro a little better.

:-[ :-[ :-[ I want to THANK EVERY ONE for being PATIENT with the traffic situation for this event. We know that the bottle neck issue was not FUN for anyone. The bridges ARE 20 FEET WIDE with plenty of room for two way traffic however, every one wants to cross in the middle. Mark and the boys will lay bigger culverts and make all of the areas we had issues with wider BEFORE JASON ALDEAN and have every thing running smoothly for
the APRIL 21st-23rd EVENT. We are also not going to let any one camp "ON" the mud hole in the future. With their vehicles, and the people
visiting the vendors on the main road around the Big mud hole the traffic
moves to slow. We will also have 3 lanes at the main gate , 2 for incomming and 1 for out going. The helicopter vendor will probably be
back for our April event you have to see the park from the air !! They were
only charging $20.00 for rides. I will post some of the pictures of the park
that they took for us this weekend. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! The park is
so pretty, especially when it has all of those people in it having FUN.
DAVID ALLAN COE will be back again next year for his 3rd annual concert
with us again. Thanks again to all of you for making this event, ANOTHER
EXTREME EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all,
Patti P  :)

Looking forward to Jason Aldean!!! Hes an awesome performer!

Now, as for the bottlenecking, I think you're being a little generous in claiming those openings are 20ft wide...  They may very well be 20 ft wide, but the road can't be more than 12.  There is no possible way that two cars can get through the gate where the little canal, levee, and then two mud pits are (The pits on the left and right and the levee part is the "road")  I can remember a truck coming through that opening and there barely being enough room for a dirt bike to pass him.

And 20' isn't that much considering some buggies are coming through with tires that stick out a good 3 ft on each side of the frame!  I mean, my truck with 44x18.5" swampers is a tight squeeze, and trying to drive a trailer with a truck on it on that narrow bridge/levee is nerve wracking!!

I have great faith that you guys will get this taken care of...not worried, just wanted to let ya'll know so that you can take care of it!!!

See ya April 1st for the adult weekend!!!

adult weekend is not until the 1st weekend of may.. the next ride is in a month.. they have animal auctions alternating with the adult event.
so if you are there april 1st, bring back some cows, horses, lamas, birds, pigs, turtles, beavers, deer, and all other animals to broward and set them free to run wild in the everglades. :)

What a great weekend!!

I met Antiochmudder, QT (fresh tranny & all), Paul S., Muddfreak and digitalsniper. Didn't catch up w/ anyone else in all the maddness LOL.

Got some great pics that I'll try to post later in the photos thread.

The shortcut around the "bottleneck" worked out great for those of us on quads but was a real pain in the a$$ for everyone else. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, as Patty said, and things will flow more smoothly.

:) :) :) You are sooooo wrong! What is too many people?????????
We never even had but   "16" campers in the new section that we opened!!
Every one just wanted to camp on top of each other for what ever reason!!
The guys are working on the bridges now and some other things that will help things run smoother!! As for chasing the dollar, DO YOU KNOW
WHAT IT TAKES TO PUT AN EVENT LIKE THIS ONE??????????????????
We have rebuilt the park 3 times because of hurricanes. We might have made a little bit this time but everyone thinks you just turn a pump on and every thing just happens.
Let me tell you some of the expenses, then maybe you can judge better! PORT-A-LETS (100.00) per X60 = 6,000.00, CERTIFIED SECURITY 22X 20.per hour X 72 Hrs = 31,680.00, Insurance $3,000.00,  Gate help for 3 days $12,000.00, advertising for the event $20,000.00, David Allan Coe ?, Rooms for all of the groups that played 3,000.00 Food for all of them and Liquor $2,000.00 The people that cooked for all of the staff and the groups $1,000.00, DO YOU YOU GET THE PICTURE????? I can keep going! We will continue to have EXTREME events! Just  be patient and we will have every thing worked out! By the way, alot of those expenses are every month, Even when we don't have a big
crowd, we still have to pay the bills! THANK YOU for all who attended for helping us do so!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Patti P.

Patty I've talked with you many times and know what it takes and cost you guys to put these events on.  I also notice at least one change to the property every time I go out there.  I know y'all are putting some of the money back into the event.  And y'all are doing your best to get some good bands out there.  We know they can be picky and aren't cheap either.

Thanks for all that you do.  You know if you ever need help out there just ask.  I need to get a portable adjusting table to bring out there.  The floor was a bit rough to adjust on.  Hope you made it to your chiropractor and got fixed up.  I'm sure you're wiped out after all the work that you and Mark did this weekend.

I look very forward to coming out for Jason Aldeen.  Road traffic should be nice.  Oh, as I was leaving I noticed a guy opening the front gate wider.  Was going to say something then realized it was Cutter.  That would have been a bad choice.  I did my fair share out there of slowing down the idiots.  Ask me later.

I did drive out back into the new opened area and yeah it was virtually empty compared to the other spots where everyone decided to camp on top of each other.

Wilburzbro, lighten up they open their land and are doing their best to make improvements as they are mentioned.  Heck they are already working on widening the road.

Patti,`

It was  GREAT time, yea the back gate was a minor issue, but no big deal.  Really if thats the only problem people can find with the weekend I would be thrilled!!!!!   I applaud you and Mark for jumping on getting it resolved the very next day.   :T    I see changes in the park e verytime I go out there, its not like our entrance money is not being seen, it is!!!

WilburzBro, that comment was uncalled for, Mark & Patti open their land to us to play on and tear it up and you have to make a comment the disrespects them.  Seriously they could say tomorrow screw you all were closing our gates and only going to let our family ride the properity.  What would you say the when yet ANOTHER riding spot is closed???

Mark & Patti your  :Fp in my  book, Thanks for opening your land to us and let us ride on it.

there is no reason to explain.. if those peopke that wantto complain, they dont have to come..like always yall put on a greeat event...with that many peopke there is always going to be things that people dont like.. so like you said at disney, long lines etc...thats just how it is, when you have lots and lots of people...you drive on the highway, to much traffic..thats how life is..
people instead of complaining, make suggestions to make things better..DONT BASH... there is no reason for it.
and yall know, ill help as well, as i did.. i helped unload the truck for the concert... and again had a gr8 time and will continue to come to lcross every month.. i like the trail rides the best...

Hey Joe, sorry to bust your bubble but that big white and yellow truck belongs to security for now.  It's currently for sale for 20K so if you want to buy it you are more than welcome to drive it.  If your interested get your bid in I have 2 friends currently interested in this truck and one is in the process of getting the deal done.

Yunt thanks for the info on Jason Aldeen.

Patty is there anything going on for Saturday night?  I know y'all have some local bands out there that have performed.  Just checking.  Either way I'll still be there.

Just a suggestion for the traffic situation going over the bridge: anyway you guys could make it like a one way loop around the park?  Sounds good in theory but I'm sure there'd be some jerks who would want to take the "short cut".  I got hit twice out there in the traffic lines cause some jerks were trying to sneak though when the traffic directors were looking the other way.  No damage done to me, my passenger, the bike or the a-holes who hit me but it did piss me off.

Either way I had a blast Patti, ya'll did an amazing job with everything and as a whole I'd say it went very smoothly.

Don't see much wrong with this comment. I for one would not open anything with out the thought of trying to make a dollar or two and have some fun while doing it.  That is the American way. The traffic was a huge cluster - f.

 :) :) WILBURZ & WILBURZBRO,
Alls good! If ya don't make the comments, We won't know! It   "was"
crazy. If you all remember, last year for DAC we had most of the people in the front due to the wet roads in the back. So we did not have this problem! This is the first event we had an issue with this, even though we have been open 2 years. Barely any one was camped in the latest camping area we opened in the back, so  I really don't know where they where all going, especially all at the same time. But we have taken all of your suggestions and are working on it right now! Looking forward to ANOTHER EXTREME  EVENT!!!!

Thanks,
