riding on Daytona Beach

I am going tomorrow......
since the beach tolls are suspended for a while (til march I think),
I thought I would try out my Grizzly on the beach. I know, I know....the speed limit in ONLY 10 MPH......but just to ride on the beach...ahhhhh!
Hopefully I do not get stopped by the beach patrol/law enforcement
for any reason.
I figure the county (Volusia County) is not losing funds (since tolls are suspended) and since there are concessionaires on the beach that rent ATVs....I should be OK. Can't really say my ATV is not safe because it is off road only vehicle when people rent them on the beach.
Anyhow......I plan to be on the beach and then later in the day......go to Main Street in Daytona (with my street bike) where there will be rock/blues bands playing and allot of activities.
Happy New Year to everyone here at ATVFlorida!

I rode on the beach for about an hour. Mostly were people walking, very few cars.
I was there about 9:30am at the Williams Ave. approach.
The tide was going out I guess so I had to park my truck parrallel
to the beach so my truck wouldn't block the traffic lanes.
One beach patrol officer passed me going the opposite direction while I was riding and didn't even look. I wouldn't ride in a manner that would draw attention to me anyhow.
I don't know what all legalities are about riding an ATV on the beach,
but it was fun for awhile.
Hard for me to think it would be OK for someone to rent you an ATV......but not allow your own on the beach.
However, going 10 MPH in a straight line is a little boring. Maybe if there was a group....and frisbie/football tossing besides riding.....that would be cool.
